Staples, America's largest office supply chain, announced today they will close 500 stores, because more then 50% of their business is coming from the Internet.

Staples is the second largest online retailer behind Amazon. I did a previous thread about their rush to mobile and now we know why.

Ecommerce has become wider platform for the online business.

I agree with you as i read about in the online source. Power shoppers place bigger orders, they come back sooner, and they buy more frequently. For merchants selling internationally through FiftyOne Global Ecommerce, cross-border power shoppers accounted for more than 40 percent of 2010 sales, and more than half in many countries.
