Zip extension being removed???
« on: April 01, 2014, 09:53:48 PM »
HELP! It had been working but now when someone downloads a zipped download it does not show as a zipped file. It is unknown and to get it to work customers are having to have to rename the file with the .zip on the end.
Plus for some reason in the account in the downloads section a bunch of extra "orders" are showing up under the download as pending. it is the same item and has the same time stamp on it. I have NO idea what to do to change any of this.
Thanks in advance.
Elizabeth

Below is what the downloads account looks like. That is one order.

Clear your admin cache...several times a day. We had the same issue with the Chrome browser, multiple phantom orders.

That solved our problem.  Let me know if it solves yours.

However, we did NOT have an issue with the .zip extension.

Wait, we did have that issue as well, my partner reminded me...it's an issue with Chrome. It thinks it's a virus...

One question, does your zip have an executable file in it? That was our problem, an installation manual with a .exe in it, had to change it to a pdf and put the manual on line.

No it does not have an exe in it and I don't use chrome at all. I use Fire Fox. How do I clear my admin cache??? This is showing on the customers end not mine (the multiples). Plus now I see that if you click continue to the next page it just brings you back to your account page. It is not showing all their downloads in their history even though I have no setting on them for them to expire. These are embroidery designs. So the extensions are pes, dst, vip, hus, jef & art

Someone must go into the admin panel and clear the cache. System>Cache

Never had an issue with FF....

I got my host to change it so I can clear my cache. That did not work. I did figure out the zip extensions myself though. In the download mask I had to add .zip to the file name.
But my cart is producing multiple orders. How can I stop this? I am sure I have something set wrong.
Thanks so much for all your help!

I think that was a quirk, we had it to, clearing the cache seemed to fix that
