Anyone using Mail Chimp API for newsletter lists?
« on: April 01, 2014, 02:28:32 PM »
Greetings,

Have installed the Mail Chimp API but it will not sync customers who are listed as "yes" for newsletter - using sync does not make any difference on my Mail Chimp list.  List names are coordinated, double and triple checked the api number.

Any advice?

Thank you very much!
Ron

Ron,

the extension isn't working properly. Admin has been advised.

Same on my side. Synchronization not work..

EDIT: after about 20 min all subscribed users receive `Confirm Subscription` email from mailchimp.
buddahboy, please check again looks like there is some timeout on Mailchimp side

One more thing: even after customer confirm subscribe it is visible on Mailchmp side only after 5-10 min approx  ???

I have finally gotten Mail Chimp Extension to work.  I must admit is was a error on my part and not on the extension.   I was using the List Name and it requires the unique List ID assigned my Mail
Chimp.

It's those little details that trip us up!

But do wait a bit for the Mail Chimp server to post your signup  (10 mins or so at least)

Also,  important when you run the sync for your existing cart list -  everyone gets an opt in message -  their address will NOT update in Mail Chimp  until they validate their opt in messge.
