hi abolabo.   I tried using my mac book pro but also tested on a windows machine too and could still not connect to paypal.

hm... what about error log?
can you give me your URL via PM?

the error log says ....
warning: AbanteCart core v.1.2.4 Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in <b>.............../extensions/default_pp_standart/storefront/controller/responses/extension/default_pp_standart.php</b> on line <b>86</b>

I'm no programmer so this means nothing to me. The other error log message says....

warning: AbanteCart core v.1.2.4 preg_grep() [<a href='function.preg-grep'>function.preg-grep</a>]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 0 in <b........................./public_html/alpha/core/engine/language.php</b> on line <b>283</b>

I don't think the second error message is related to the paypal issue (but i don't know) Thanks for any advice. Cheers

it would appear that the upgrade to v 1.2.4 has caused the problem linking to paypal from opera and firefox. I tried my version 1.2.3. still stored on my computer and there was no problem. Any chance you guys could look into this and maybe verify. I also found there was no option to select guest checkout even though this was turned on in admin. Thanks

you have two different domains on address bar (alfamarket...) and  inside checkout form (newbrand... as cancel_url and return_url fields).
When you send data to paypal it gets data with your hidden domain (newbrand) and referer with page domain (alphamarket). This is inconsistency of data for them and they blocks page.
