UPS Module - UK User

Hi,
I am using ver 1.2.8

Trying to set up the UPS module but having problems with the Origin State/Province Field. 
There is no 2 digit code for the provinces (Counties) in the UK. 
Have any other UK users made this module work, and if so how?
Any help appreciated.

Still having the same problem with the UPS Extension.
Hopefully someone will help me solve the problem.

This is the error message I am receiving:-
UPS error: Wrong State Code! in /.......................cart/extensions/default_ups/storefront/model/extension/default_ups.php on line 193
I have contacted UPS Tech Support, who like most support organisations are pretty lax when it comes to 3rd party software.  Their response is:-

Do we know what UPS API Abantecart implemented?
As the UPS plugin is developed \ connected to Abantecart by them, based on UPS API, they might have set up other required fields or values, which we do not have information of (for instance UPS API does not have specific "customer classification code), only them.

I am hoping that someone UK based has made this work and can tell me how, or failing that if the Devs can supply answers to the API questions that UPS are asking.

So far I have been unable to make the UPS, Fedex and Parcel Force Shipping modules work in the UK.  This pretty much rules out International Sales and is spoiling an exceptional product.

I appreciate this matter being put to the bug tracker. Lets hope they can provide a fix fairly quickly. 

At the moment the only mainstream shipping extension that works in the UK is the Royal Mail, and that has its issues.

Abantecart is really good product that is easy to use and encourages customers to buy, but being unable to ship those sales without problems is a major draw back.

After all the support that the forum has offered over the last 3 months, this is a major stumbling block.

Still I need to persevere a little longer, and give the devs a chance to fix the issue.
