cross-cutting options
« on: April 22, 2017, 05:11:07 AM »
Hi!

I'm just getting to know AbanteCart and trying to find out if it's right for me. I have a question I hope you'd be able to help with.

Some of my products have multiple options, and I'd like to track the inventory of combinations of options. To be concrete, said products are menstrual cups, and they come in different colors, shapes, softness and sizes. Overall there are dozens of possible combinations of options, so a cup may be e.g. purple, large, short, and firm.

I know that I can create subordinate options and thereby obtain a large selectbox with all possible combinations. But that wouldn't be convenient for my customers, picking an option from a very large list. On the other hand, I can add multiple options, and then each option would get its own selectbox, but in that case I don't think the system would track the inventory correctly for each of the combinations, because I only seem to be able to specify the inventory for each option independently of the other options.

So is there a way to have multiple selectboxes for the options and still track the inventory for each combination in separate?

Thanks in advance!

I did!
But I don't like how it's displayed to the costumer, like a long list of all the different combinations
