Lost items
« on: April 22, 2017, 11:17:22 AM »
Is there a switch in the latest AbanteCart (1.2.10)version that will show items that are not completely setup? For example, when I want to add an item, where there is an existing very similar item, I copy it and then edit to make the needed changes.

If I do not make the new item active and log out, when I log in again it's gone. If I export the product database, I can see it in the CSV file (MySQL) but not in the web interface.

How do I see them again, to delete or complete?

Hi.
Do you have a multi-store setup?

No, it's a single store. When I add items but do not select Status to On, and log out, they vanish. I often work on a number of products but don't want to publish until they are done. Under this version, that isn't an option. As I wrote, they are shown in the CSV export, it's just that they are invisible in the web interface. I'm just wondering if there is a switch to show all?

When you add new item click save button and the go to Catalog > Products grid and check is new product show there if not check error log for latest errors.

Your issue is looks like product added to database but not assigned to default store that's why in my opinion you see it in CSV but not see in admin

I only see the product if it's saved, so your observation that it's not assigned to the single store database, but can be seen in the CSV file appears to be the problem.

Now the problem, is how to fix it?

Not all. When I want to duplicate items, I just click the clone icon and work on each. If I make too many clones, I do not make those active. I just want a way to see those in the web interface, as they are saved to the MySQL database.

I clone products as many are very similar, and it's easier to perfect one and then clone and make changes to the clone. When they are switched on they stay visible in the web interface. When I log off, they vanish.

I also create clones in groups, so I Control click to open clones in new windows. It's much faster than clicking clone and editing one at a time.

In any instance, the MySQL creates a row for the cloned files, but they aren't visible when I log on again.

Hello.

So after successful cloning you see product? Then logout / login and the same page with product give you an error?
Or you just can not locale product in grid?

There aren't any errors. If the cloned page status is left as OFF, the page will not appear the next time I log in. It does appear in the MySQL database CSV export.

Sorry but page should not appear on next login. Try to find your cloned product in the grid or remember product id to check is it exist

When I sort the products by status, sorted so that off is at the top, some products are there and the ones I add using the cloning method or at least some of them are not.
