PayPal verification problems

I keep getting this message when an order is placed: "Failed or missing response from payment verification. Manual verification is required! this link"
I have verified that my PayPal account has the correct information and email address but no matter what I do I keep getting this message. I have version 1.2.12 the problem has been there from the very beginning

You have got this message because PayPal IPN send confirm request too late.
This issue will be improved/resolved soon in the upcoming version, please follow process here https://github.com/abantecart/abantecart-src/issues/1086

 I see from the link you provided that the issue has been closed. Is there any way for me to implement the fix now or do I have to wait for an update?

Download next update from github https://github.com/abantecart/abantecart-src/archive/master.zip
Unarchive and get latest paypal standart from /public_html/extensions/
