Make my Cart my homepage! My domain host can't do it and said to ask AbanteCart!

So when I installed AbanteCart cart it uploads as my mcnells.com and you would have to click to the file AbanteCart.

I want obviously mcnells.com to go directly to my homepage. Here is what my domain support said.

--- Quote ---I would recommend contacting AbanteCart support and asking what changes need to be made when moving the directory/url. I have looked at the various settings but cannot see the option.

Kind regards,
George

Hello.

See if this what you need https://abantecart.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AD/pages/22511620/Changing+Domain+Name

jmcnell:
Nope. Still nothing. If I change the address back to http: I will not be able to use my merchant for checkout. I'm pretty sure that is what is going on here. This didn't start till I had my page redirect to https://....

ughh

here's some things to check to see if they are correctly configured:
1/  Do you have a active, validated SSL cert?  Most host provide a basis level free.
2/  If, when you have an SSL change your System > Settings > Store Details  Store URL  AND Store SSL URL to https://xxxxxx
3/ If using SEO  -   System > Settings > system    Use SEO's be sure you have changed your htaccess associated with your AbanteCart installation from .htacess.txt
to .htaccess.   (note the trailing dot should remain)

4/ If you installation of AbanteCart is in a subfolder -  besure to add then into the .htaccess.  file  - instructions are with in the file.
5/  Depending on your server configuration you may or may not need to have a cPanel redirect set.

See if any of these things give you a help.  It is important that you have everything configured properly

I tried all of the above and nothing is working. Should the .htaccess. So Lost
