maintenance mode or coming soon page

While I am developing my store I would like to have a blank coming soon page to prevent people from seeing my site. Any suggestions?

try to search word "maintenance" in admin

In control panel, System>Setings>System you can enable Maintenance Mode that prevents customers from browsing your store. They will instead see a maintenance message.
I think you cand edit the meintenance message from language definitions.

It will be nice if in a future version we'll have both coming soon mode and meintenance mode settings.

Oh man, duh I feel stupid I missed that option. I am  trying like every open source shopping cart software my host provides and my head is spinning figuring out the ins and outs of each one.

It says "If logged in as admin, you will see the store as normal." but I cant see my store front I get the maintenance message even though I am logged in as Admin.

it's a bug. Commit with all changed files  here

you can just replace old files by changed.
Note: bug fix is only for v1.1.5 and goes to version 1.1.6 that will be released soon

button "view file @ ....". mouse right click -> save as
there a few files..
but you can wait a bit time and upgrade to 1.1.6.
