Would the error messages stop if I uploaded my own images in the empty folders?  I really didn't need photos of Armani perfume, but I may need images of my products in the future if I start using those Blocks.

Sorry for this, but when you say "problem" are you referring to the operation of the store, or just the fact that error messages are set?

Thank you for your response ecommerce.  Some of my image folders are empty - could that be the problem?  These were pre-loaded images that were present after my initial install.  They had nothing to do with my products.

I could see where some of the deleted images are used for blocks or templates that are not being used by my store.  Like I said before, these error messages do not seem to interfere with my store's operation.

When you say "admin", do you mean the admin sub-folder under public_html?  If so, what do I look for there?  I have never changed any file or folder in the admin area.

I changed all image permissions to 777, but the error log message above returns.  I clear the log and about 100 of the same message appears.  It doesn't seem to negatively impact my store performance.  Any other help is appreciated.

Also, most of my images are .jpg.  A few are .png.

My error log keeps getting filled up with this message (changed my real domain with "mydomain"):

App Error: AbanteCart core v.1.2.7 Error: Cannot get image size of file /home/mydomain/public_html/store/resources/. File not found or it's not an image! in /home/mydomain/public_html/store/core/helper/utils.php on line 1116

I read previous posts about this that said to change the permissions of the files and folders of images.  But no posts stated what the correct permissions were.  Right now, the resources/downloads and resources/images are all set to 755.

What am I missing here?  BTW, I am not well-versed in code.  Thanks for any assistance.

Finally, it's fixed.  I was not looking in the correct file folder for the .htaccess.txt file.  I made the name change to .htaccess and also included the subfolder name and my products are enabled now.  The SEO URL's fix worked.  Thanks very much for your help.

mod_rewrite is loaded on all my host servers by default.

Referencing my post above, the .htaccess file in public_html folder does not have any "RewriteBase" instructions in it.  My store is in a subfolder, but how can I change the RewriteBase if it's not in .htaccess?

Thanks Basara.  But I'm not very adept at coding, so I'll explain what I see.

In AbanteCart Admin: System - Settings - System: Use SEO URL's is ON

In cPanel - File Manager - public_html: .htaccess has the following data in it when opened for editing (I don't have a file named htaccess.txt):

# To set your custom php.ini, add the following line to this file:
# suphp_configpath /home/yourusername/path/to/php.ini
# php_value mbstring.func_overload 4 # Required for PWSB support. Please do not uncomment this line.

The AbanteCart manual says this: "Use SEO URLs: To use SEO URL's Apache module mod-rewrite must be installed and you need to rename the htaccess.txt file to .htaccess"

I don't know how to check to see if I have "Apache module mod-rewrite" installed, or even how to install it.  Am I in the correct file directory?  Any and all help is very much appreciated.

Installation and Configuration / Products Pages Problems

I log in to Admin and go to a view of my home page.  Featured products are there and my 2 categories are in the breadcrumbs.  All looks good.  When I click on a product, I get the HTTP 404 error page of Page Not Found.  Is there something I'm missing on how to link products?

Total newbie here.  I don't know html.  One of a hundred questions I have in setting up my store is this:

I have added downloadable products and have set up my home page.  I have one parent category "Books".  Two sub-directories.  When I view the pages, they come up perfectly.  But when I view the home page, then click on "Books", I get Page Not Found 404.

I apologize for not being very tech savvy, but I'm going slightly crazy with the store setup.
