Hi, pretty simple question I guess, my site is fairly new with only 1 review, I have searched for the product on google but the review does not display. I am wondering if it takes a bit of time (2 weeks have passed already since the review) to display or if google simply doesnt recognise the reviews on AC.
I do have the latest version of Google Sitemap XML (1.6.2) installed.
When maintenance mode is enabled, can bots bypass this and still access the content?
I know some WP plugins offer this functionality but just wondered if AC does this organically. I would like to put my site into maintenance mode while I populate the products but would like it to be indexed while in maintenance mode.
Thanks for showing me that but its not quite right, its a pity as the attributes are ideal for filtering of any product without the need for additional extensions. I will have a think about using categories or tags going forward but filtering through attributes would really boost the functionality and usability of AbanteCart.
Thanks to both for the reply, I have used tags previously but I dont find that they filter quite as well, tags are more of a click 1 link instead of filtering a number of atributes that are required.
If I have a selection of products that have different weights & colours (this is just an example), and the top category is bags of sweets... when clicked on the top category would display all the bags of sweerts on the website, but, imagine for a moment that someone wanted a particular colour and weight of sweets and only wanted to see them... how do I filter these attributes down? I thought about using categories but this becomes messy really quick.
This is an odd one, I am still new to AbanteCart but this is confusing me so having to post in here.
In my category and/or manufacturer view (when viewing all products in a category or manufacturer) some products display the product description. I have tried deleting the product and creating a new one, I have also created new content but the same product still displays the product description on the category/manufacturer view.
It seems to be random too as some products that display the content in the category view, do not display it in the manufacturer view and visa-versa.
see the examples below:
https: //www .bikingdirect. co. uk/fb-mondial
the product which seems to be causing the problem is the FB Mondial Pagani (https ://www. bikingdirect.co.uk/fb-mondial-pagani) , and when filtering products by price in the main category more expensive products all experience the same issue.
I have also created a 'test' product which is available via subcategory link https: //www. bikingdirect .co.uk/motorcycle-helmets/test but not directly (https:// www. bikingdirect. co.uk/test) and it displays a '403 Forbidden nginx' error.
brilliant, thanks very much. I was more concerned that I didnt know what it was than anything. Disabling it has sped up the site a good bit too. thanks again.
After running a GT Metrix test on my website, the enable GZIP compression displays 3 links which could be compressed. One is the URL of the website but 2 are not. These links are below. They are linked to a javascript file but the URL is whats bothering me... any advice on this is much appreciated.
Compressing https: //s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws. com/shoptimally-ire/dist/neowize/abantecart/nwa.js could save 58.5KiB (64% reduction). Compressing https: //s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws. com/shoptimally-ire/dist/neowize/abantecart/AbanteCart.js could save 1.5KiB (58% reduction).
these 2 links are not related to my site in any way and appear to be linked to Amazon. any ideas on how to remove these?
"nbsp" seems to be the keyword most used on my site yet I am copying the text from another one of my sites (WP) and when I run the same test the tool does not pick up any "nbsp". I understand that its non breaking space, but I am looking to see if anyone has come across this before. I would rather my actual keywords were top. thanks
Hi, I actually really like the layout of the demo (demo.abantecart . com/) and I am wondering if there is a tutorial or documentation somewhere on how to replicated this.
1 week with AC and I love it, may it continue to exceed my expectations.
