This message is thrown by abantecart when attempt access media in the following areas:

1.  Media tabpage in Product Summary page (error thrown 4 times)
2.  Edit and existing Category in Edit Category page
3.  Edit an Existing Manufacturer in Edit Manufacturer Page (four errors thrown)
4.  In Banner Manager try edit an existing banner
5. Settings > All settings (one error thrown)

Clearly there is a problem with access to media (pictures/video/audio) post upgrading from 1.1.9 to 1.2.0 and from this forum  also with a clean installs of 1.2.0.

And so far all responses from developers of abantecart is to change file permissions on certain folders and files to which does not fix the problem.

Once user's have tried this fix and it doesn't work, the abantecart forums go silent on a resolution to this problem.

It seems to me that version 1.2.0 is clearly broken and does not work correctly and that the developers of abantecart have decided the problem is just too difficult to resolve so have stopped responding to request for help to fix this bug.

This leaves me with only one real solution, to wipe out abantecart and select another e-commerce solution that has more reliable end user support.

Abantecart what an unstable piece of crap software!....I have wasted way too much time trying to fix issues with this broken crapware!

Hmm still no joy, I changed the permissions on the resources directory to '777' the sub dirtectories within the resources directory are all set with permissions '777'. But the problem persists.

Is weird it throws error four times. When I check the server logs... this is all that shows for the four errors.

I wondering whether this issue is caused by a permissions problem on the MySQL database. When navigate to Settings > All Settings in the Admin pages backend on clicking 'All Settings' I get another Forbidden error (see screenshot).

Support / SQL Error Upgrading from 1.2.0 to 1.2.1
« on: February 27, 2015, 05:13:43 PM »
Hi Readers,

I am getting the error when running the core upgrade from version 1.2.0 to version 1.2.1. I run the script in Package Install - Tab "Network Install' as using shortcut 'abantecart_upgrade_121'

The error thrown is:

Error: Can't create sql dump of database during backup

The upgrade script then fails....is there a manual work around?

Thanks,

General Support / Re: critical error

Hi Karlos,

Check your index values in MyPHPAdmin (CPanel) for table tyx_languages. It may be that your index for table tyx_languages is not ac_languages_index but might be tyx_languages_index. This would cause that line of the script upgrade.sql to fail.

you may need to rename the index.

Hi,

I have tried with several abantecart sites to run the upgrade package to upgrade v1.1.9 to v1.2.0

All of them fail with error as below:

Error: Can't create sql dump of database during backup

I tried the manual processes and downloaded the upgrade only package, extracted it. Copied the contents of the directory 'code' to my abantcart directory and then tried to use upgrade.sql in phpMyAdmin (Version information: 4.0.10.7, latest stable version: 4.3.7)
I should note this script has so many errors in it its almost unusable as it assume a schema table prefix is 'ac_' and the TIMESTAMP commands don't work with all version of phpMyAdmin . And has to be worked through line by line to get it work, checking the table columns and index first before running each block of sql code.

Even after doing this, Still the upgrade failed and the store page and admin pages both showed critical errors.

So I rolled back to V1.1.9 store and database from a softaculous backup.

Ok, so here's how I did manage to get the upgrade to succeed....MAKE A FULL SOFTACULOUS BACKUP FIRST OF LIVE SITE!

Using the provided backup.php file as provided in this thread ?http://forum.abantecart.com/index.php/topic,1676.15.html?

I renamed the existing backup.php in  /public_html/store/core/lib on your live site to backup.php.old

I then copied the downloaded backup.php file to /public_html/store/core/lib on live site

Then ran the upgrade using the message link or by typing 'abantecart_upgrade_120" into the 'Network Install tab' 'Installation Key' form textbox.

The package downloaded and installed correctly. Will do bit more testing but the store and backend appear to be working correctly.

So hope this work around helps anyone with similar upgrade issues as I had.

Support / Re: Abantecart Import Failure
« on: January 22, 2015, 02:52:44 AM »
Hi,

I disabled McAfee Internet Security's Firewall and ran the import again using IE11 and it imported the data correctly into the MySQL table ab_products.

I had been using Firefox with my earlier attempts wonder whether this also had anything to do with the problem.

Thanks Basara for your help much appreciated.

Support / Abantecart Import Failure
« on: January 21, 2015, 09:46:49 PM »
I am having problem importing data into abantecart from a exported tab delimited csv file created from abantecart. When I examine the csv file in excel the file contains tab delimited data. The csv file was created using the Data > Import/Export > Export function in abantecart. I was exporting all products in ab_products to a csv file.

The product_id values start at 50 through to 110 of the data to be exported.

The product_id values in the database I was importing too... start at 111 through to 316.

So there is no obvious primary key conflicts that I can see anyway when come to importing the data.

On attempting to import in to abantecart v1.1.9 I get the error message 'Data is empty or corrupted'

I have followed the youtube instructional guide as below for import / export exactly and the error continues.

Any ideas why this keep failing.

Attached the CSV file for reference.

OK thanks will do.

I agree most likely a server configuration error as the problem didn't exist previously and started on 30/07/2014.

Will keep you posted on the outcome.

Update: Problem resolved, looks like the php settings did not get correctly set in cPanel.

Reset PHP settings and made some changes in PHP settings and the media became visible again in the backend. I suspect it was the memory_limit being set to low at 2M.

11
Where would I find the apache (httpd) server error logs in cPanel?

12
Yes directory resources is writable, has permissions set as 775.

Update 01/08/2014.

My hosting service providers reckons they have not made any changes to PHP or MySQL.

I did a clean install of abantecart V1.1.9 in a different sub directory using sample data provided with the clean install.

And I still get the red error Forbidden on all images, media, pdf and video files.

when I attempt to configure resource manager, by clicking on common/resource_library

I get the error as shown below.

I have no idea how to fix this and can only guess my host provider has flicked a switch to which has caused this problem.

I have no way to fix it so am about ready to abandon abantecart as I do not wish to change hosting provider just to resolve this problem.

Hi All,

I have a problem, today I logged into the backend of my Abantecart V1.1.9. And when I went to products and added a new product and went to the media tab page it displays error Forbidden in red. And i cannot add / edit media for the product.

I went to a previously loaded product, clicked the media tab and this also shows error Forbidden for all media.

I cleared all cache data and this did not resolve the issue.

I checked permissions on the cache folder and these are write and read.

Any idea's why abantecart would suddenly throw this error message.

Help appreciated.
