I have created a product entry that has 6 color palettes, each with a list of colors available for the product. I set the Global Attributes setting to Required=NO since only one item in the 6 lists needs to be selected. I could combine the six lists into one, but it will contain 91 items in the dropdown list, and I am not so sure that's a good idea. The attached screenshot shows how the selection boxes appear to the user.

Is there any way to make it so that any ONE of the 6 available lists MUST be selected?

Documentations & Manuals / AbanteCart Printable User Manual
« on: December 17, 2017, 01:07:36 PM »
I have a client who requires printed documentation, so I made a User Manual from the online pages, standardized their formatting, corrected some grammatical errors (I'm a writer), and put together a 364 page printable version of the online manual. I built it in MS Word 2010 and also exported it as a PDF. All of the links are intact and the editing notes remain. I added an extensive Table of Contents to make finding things easier and faster. It's all free and my contribution to the community.

PM me for the download links to the DOCX or PDF version.

I will and will report back.  It might be useful information to know.

I checked ... it does not work. I reset everything back and it works.  I think I've fooled around enough for one day.

Do you know ...

•  Can I change the secret admin name at any time by editing config.php and updating the URL?
•  Is there a restiction on length?
•  Are special characters allowed?

I followed along and did a reset and all is good again, although I think I will remove the added .htaccess items I inserted from the Troubleshooting Guide.

Thanks again for your help.

It works!

I must have missed ther instructions on all of this.

Now ... my password is no longer good. Can I use phpMyAdmin to go in and MD5 my password in the user table's password field directly?  I have occassionally had to do this with WordPress installations that had problems.

You're a savior! Thank you for patiently stinking with me to get this sorted out.

You'll notice that some code was added to the store and admin .htaccess files per the Troubleshooting Guide.  Leave it or take it out?

When I use the secret name in the URL, I get:  "The page you requested cannot be found" in the storefront.

I was so hoping it was something simple like this ... but it didn't work.  Is the admin folder supposed to also be renamed to match?

My site has been in operation since August 28, 2016.  Orders have been processed and things have been great. No AbanteCart update has been applied since installation.

When I go to admin, I get an Error 403 Forbidden and I am returned to the storefront.

I have attached the pertinent logs, error messages, etc. since I cannot figure out what this system considers "external links."

In addition, there's an installation of WordPress in a subdirectory beside / store / with it's own .htaccess which is not included here.

I have been trying to address this issue for a whole day and this worked for me:

When DNS was set up on my domain, I wass forced to choose a primary domain between www . domain . com and domain . com. I chose www . domain . com and cPanel aliased domain  .com to it.

However, when I set up AbanteCart, in Admin > System > Store Details > Store URL, I used domain . com. When I changed it to www . domain . com everything worked as it should.

So, make sure the URL for the store is the same as the domain used in the setup of the control panel.
