Support / Re: Back button on checkout page does nothing
« on: November 22, 2013, 07:19:38 PM »
Hi

I had Paypal express and paypal std enabled. I had the issue with the back button not working.
I then found issues with Paypal Express looping back to the log in page when trying to check out as guest so I removed it and just had paypal std and I set it as Auto Select.  Again the back button doesn't do anything.  This is not a big deal, but I figure a customer is going to click on it and say something eventually.  I'd rather have a 'cancel' button that takes them back to the storefront. Or have the back button working...

New Features Discussion / Re: Want some features

i know this is an old post but I'd like to also vote for a referral system.  I can't find anything in the extension store which works like the referral system in Prestashop.

Support / Back button on checkout page does nothing
« on: November 21, 2013, 03:13:02 AM »
Hi
This is regarding the html5 template Abantecart 1.1.7
On the checkout confirmation page there are two buttons at the bottom one to confirm the checkout and the other to go Back.  Clicking the Back button does nothing, just refreshes the current page.
Bug?

Hi, just to add to this I just had a customer call to ask about adding multiple items.  They just wanted to be able to click multiple times to add more product to the cart but with the html5 template once clicked the button says 'added to cart' then if clicked again takes you to the cart (where they can increase quantity).  This behaviour annoyed my customer.
I also notice there is a little x in the corner of the price tag once a product is added a per the above scenario.  clicking on this little x does nothing but if I inspect the element in my browser it shows as <button class="close" data-dismiss="alert" type="button"> which seems to indicate that the button should be 'dismissed' and return to normal??
Anyway, I still think it would be great if in grid view the customer can either have a quantity option or be able to click the button multiple times to add more product to the cart.

Support / Move product availability text from description to under price
« on: November 12, 2013, 11:44:59 PM »
Hi

I'd like to move the product status text from the bottom of the product description to under the product price.

Better yet, is it possible to change the 'Add to Cart' button to read 'Pre-order' if an item is out of stock?  Rather than have the customer add it to the cart then see in the cart (by *** which I changed in the template to read '++ Preorder ++') that it is out of stock.

API Development / Re: Ebay Integration

+1 for this.  Ebay integration will get Abantecart onto the radar of those using Magento and Prestashop which offer ebay integration already.

Support / Multiple URL's pointing to same store
« on: November 10, 2013, 09:02:15 PM »
Hi

I have multiple URLs pointing to my store.  In system settings I can only put one URL so in the log I get messages stating

App Warning:  AbanteCart core v.1.1.7 Warning: Accessing store with unconfigured or unknown domain

I get these also for when www is not used in front of the URL (for example my store is www.ozvgn.com.au but I get warnings about ozvgn.com.au)

I don't think this is an issue, but I'd prefer not to get these error logs so I can easily see if there are any 'real' errors when i scan the log.  Is there a way to set up so that multiple URLs are recognised for the same shop?

Support / Re: Permanently reduce price of all items in store
« on: October 28, 2013, 07:02:15 PM »
Thanks for the suggestion junkyard.  I actually discovered another way to do this which is easier for me as my sql skills are limited.

In admin under System | Data | Import / Export I exported some line items (for a test sample).  I opened these in LibreOffice Calc (I use Ubuntu as my OS - LibreOffice is an open source MS Office alternative with LibrOffice Calc = MS Office Excel).  In Calc I create a new column next to the price column and use the formula =SUM(M2*0.9) (where M2 is the column where price is.  I then just replace the price colum with the values in this new column, delete the new column, save the file as csv, then import back into Abantecart from the admin menu.  It updates all pricing to 10% less.

Another way to do this would be to create a new column and then use the Cost column to add the desired percentage then replace the Price column with values in this new column. Just depends which way you want to go, reduce prices by a percentage, or do a recalc adding a percentage to the cost price.

In fact doing this makes it faster to add new products.  I can now add products and just put the cost price, then when I'm finished I do the export, do a bulk calculation to add my percentage as per above, then import.

I hope this helps others.  Or if anyone has a better way I'd love to hear it too.

Support / Permanently reduce price of all items in store
« on: October 28, 2013, 01:43:13 AM »
Is there a way I can reduce the selling price of everything in a category (or across all items) without having to go into each product item?

For example, if I want to permanently reduce everything I sell by 10%, and I have hundreds of items, it will take forever to go to each one and change the price.  I can't just use a discount code as I want the new price to be permanent and not just a special.

Yes, I meant on the product listing page.  Just to make it easier for those who know what they want (they don't have to go to product details page).

For admin

New Features Discussion / Re: Product filter block
« on: October 28, 2013, 01:28:24 AM »
I'd like to +1 this idea.
I sell food products and would iike to have the main category (say grains) then allow the customer to filter the list such as Gluten Free, organic, etc.

43
Exactly what I was looking for also.  Thanks!

Many ecommerce sites have a small text box to input a quantity beside the 'add to cart button' rather than having to click multiple times.  Good for if someone wants to by larger quantities of a product (like 10 or 100) as that is a lot of clicks otherwise.

New Features Discussion / Customer search filters
« on: October 23, 2013, 10:36:03 PM »
I'd like to have a block at the top to allow customers to filter by specific criteria.  for example I sell vegan, vegetarian and gluten free foods, I'd like the customer to be able to filter by these by clicking a check box.
