Title: Error Message
Post by: jimbo17 on May 11, 2019, 10:52:32 AM
A hosting service I had just signed up with was trying to make a full backup for my CPanel and screwed something up and they do not seem to know how to fix it.

The error message I am getting is the following, /home/jimhill/puplic_html/decals/core/database/amysqli.php

I think they might have been trying to add something into the code to make a full backup of AbanteCart.

Any help or ideas on how to fix this problem.

Jimbo

Can anyone tell me if this code is part of AbanteCart or is this something that someone added  into the php. for some other purpose.

Check your data base connection setting . In /home/jimhill/puplic_html/decals/core/database/amysqli.php

I am not sure how to check my data base connection setting.

Thank you for your help.

Sorry I forgot to mention that I cannot get into AbanteCart because I receive the error message first and it won't let me proceed.

I thought I would check the systems log for error messages.

I need to find out how to check database connection settings,
in /home/jimhill/publc/_html/decals/core/database/amysqli.php

Thanks Jimbo

If I log into CPanel and then select Softaculous software installer and AbantCart eCommerce I can see a sub domain name for my account instead of my main domain name for the account.

Could this be the data base connection setting that is wrong and why I am getting this error message, /home/jimhill/public_html/decals/core/database/amysqli.php on line 51

I have asked my hosting service for help since I think this change needs to be done by the host.

My html and php knowledge is limited!!

All of my problems started when I changed hosting services to InterServer hosting and some how they screwed up the migration process.
Once this happened I asked InterServer who also holds my domain name to direct the DNS servers back towards my original hosting service which they agreed to do.

Now my website is back online but when I click on any of the menu buttons I receive the following error message,
Check your database connections setting. in /home/jimhill/public_html/decals/core/database/amysqli.php om line 51

When I looked it appears that one of my sub domains is listed instead of my main domain name.

If I change this setting to my main domain name do I loose the over 1,300 products listed in the AbanteCart shopping cart?

This would make it a nightmare to correct if I do this the wrong way.

Because of the error message I cannot get into my AbanteCart to check the error logs.

Looking for anyone who knows how to correct this problem.

Hello.

DNS update have a timeout 1 to 7 days. All products are stored in database and you can access it (save, backup, export/import) in your hosting Cpanel

Thank You for that information.

Not sure I know exactly how to what you said but I will give it try.

Once I complete the backup do I then upload that to my hosing service?

Will the error message be gone or do I have to do something with that?

Thanks again Jimbo
