Hi There Basara - so if I install Flexy then you are saying that I will solve my problem of digital goods being charged shipping when they are with tangible in same order?

For instance:
Shoes = $20
subtotal $20
shipping charge $5

Shoes = $20
Digital download music collection - $10
Subtotal $30
shipping $12

That is what I currently experience.

You think Flexy will make the pricing what I need:
Shoes = $20
subtotal $20
shipping charge $5
add digital music collection - $10
new subtotal $30
Shipping $5 (still)

that's what I'll need.  --- hope that makes sense

So you believe that this will rectify the problem?

Thanks Basara
All the best

Should be all of the above with a subtotal

Greetings - yes, tangible goods have a shipping price.  I use the extension as the shipping charges are linked to the sub-total of the order and the digital goods are also getting added into the shipping.  This has been an issue since the previous version as well so I had to give notice to purchase digital goods in a separate order than tangible - was hoping to have a better option.  I'm sure you'll come up with a solution though.  I used to use CubeCart and that was a standard feature (but it sucked in general as a cart after a while ;) )

Thank you,
Ron

Greetings - I'm wanting to get this extension - Abandoned Orders  -- http://marketplace.algozone.com/abandoned-orders-view.html -- wanted to check that it will work with 1.1.8 properly.

Thanks
Ron

Greetings,

I was hoping that this issue would be fixed in 1.1.8 - when putting a digital product and a tangible product in the cart and checking out the total is charged shipping on both items.

I am using the Price Based Shipping extension Version: 1.0.0

Any suggestions?

Thanks much
Ron

Greetings Team AbanteCart - want to thank you for all the hard work put in and for the latest upgrade.  Will report any bugs encountered but so far so good!  You asked and listened -- much appreciated.

Customization help / Re: Toggles in description -

Thanks for that reply - I didn't think of it.  For now it is only one product so I'll test it out - and since the template is HTML5 I can use some of the toggle scripts I already have - sweet!

Thanks again for all you guys do - I know that most of us really really appreciate it.

All the best

Customization help / Toggles in description -

Greetings - is there a way to put toggles in the description content?  Here is an example of what I mean:

Have some new items to put up for sale but the description is very very long and will not be good as a solid block of text.

Possible?

Thanks much

General Support / Re: Sitewide Music Player

Hello abantecart - this is a brief expression of exactly what I've experienced - taken from a different forum board and all advice is that the player should be removed as it uses a an iFrame:

The store ****** (site not online) has a music frame, which streams a playlist of music while browsing the site. It's works fantastically, but the frame doesn't change URL which is causing issues with the SSL certificate. This causes the Paypal checkout to stop functioning all together.

So that's the issue and the only solution I can find anywhere is that it's best to remove it.  I am now thinking of Wimpy MP3 player in a popup - both solutions would require a "click" in order to hear music anyway as I would not have automatically playing music on the site.

Thanks much and if you have any other ideas or insights it would be appreciated for sure.

All the best
Ron

General Support / Sitewide Music Player
« on: December 24, 2013, 08:01:08 AM »
Greetings and nearly Merry Christmas,

I had installed the SCM player (http://scmplayer.net/) and embeded the code in a block which gave me a player that followed the user without the page refresh, so the music was uninteruppted during the site navigation.  The problem I had in using this was the final step in checkout was not working - upon clicking on "confirm order" the order information and customer browser were not forwarded to PayPal, just sits on that page.

Following is the code (with only one song listed) - any ideas on how I can integrate this player into my AbanteCart?  Or, any suggestions regarding other sitewide players that would work with AC?

<!-- SCM Music Player http://scmplayer.net -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://scmplayer.net/script.js"
data-config="{'skin':'skins/simpleBlue/skin.css','volume':50,'autoplay':false,'shuffle':false,'repeat':0,'placement':'bottom','showplaylist':false,'playlist':[{'title':'From Songs From The Dhuni','url':'http://www.vishwagifts.com/scm/dhuni/01.mp3'}]}" ></script>
<!-- SCM Music Player script end -->

Thanks for any advice or suggestions
Ron

Hi abantecart - no that setting was also set to off.  I just set it to "no tax" and that was it, I just don't tax purchases from that state - there were hardly ever any from thee anyway.

THVY - it only made sense - after doing all the fine tuning settings on my dev site sometimes I forget what the heck I did already and what not!  Thanks again junkyard

Good day - well, I've turned on the tax estimate feature again and tested but with the same results - when adding both digital and tangible good the whole subtotal is charged shipping - - when adding only digital goods shipping is not charged - - could it possibly be the "price based shipping" extension?  I don't see any settings there that would affect this but maybe I'm wrong.

Somehow the cart recognizes the digital goods and does not charge shipping BUT when mixed with tangible goods charges on the whole order rather than only the tangibles.  Getting a bit messy.

Anyone have any ideas?  Would really appreciate it.

Thanks much
Ron

Does "order status" on system > settings > checkout  need to be the same as  "Download Order Status" in system > settings > general  in order to ensure that digital products are available immediately after payment?  I do require that digital goods be available right away but of course the tangible goods will ship.

Hope this question is clear.

Thanks much
Ron

General Support / Tax added before verification of location, shows in cart
« on: December 18, 2013, 10:47:41 AM »
Greetings,

I have my products taxable and my settings are to charge tax ONLY to one state in the US.  When adding a product to the cart (even not logged in) the view cart feature shows the product with tax added to it, even though it should not.  When logging in the tax still shows but when beginning the checkout process the tax is not part of the price throughout the checkout process.  Basically the problem is when an item is added to cart it shows with tax even though it doesn't charge it.

Any thoughts on this?

Thank you very much
Ron
