Built-in Features / How to only show static banner on Mobile
« on: May 13, 2018, 11:49:38 AM »
Hello,

I enabled static banner and then added it in homepage layout in the row of "homepage slider" but I only want static banner to show on mobile. What happens is the static banner is shown on laptop screens below my banners slide. Please tell me how to fix this. My store is choozeoline.com and I guess my static banner size is too big that it is not shown properly on mobile screen.

Hello.

Multi-store in AbanteCart follow next concept: one admin for few storefronts.
So you need to install only once, no need to copy or do anything with files

I know its one admin and multi store, my question was for creating multiple stores one needs to have sub domain. So, hosting providers limit sub domains. Let's say if I want 20 stores then I will need 20 subdomains. I was thinking of going with abc.com/makeup then going with makeup.abc.com as I can create as many sub folder I want but for sub domains I am dependent on my hosting provider.

Also I asked for separate shopping carts.

Dear,

I am bit confused as to create multi stores in abantecart by creating sub-domains or sub folders.

My sub domains are limited to 3, if I want more sub domains, I will need a higher hosting package. My business is that I will give different stores to different vendors selling perfumes, cloths, makeup e.t.c so should I create different sub folders and install abantecart in all folders again and again?

I guess if I copy all files of abantecart in each folder than my website space will be more occupied by multiple abantecart in sub folders and I will be left with less space on my hosting server for my basic package. Is it right?

If I go with making sub domains then every after three sub domains, I will need to buy higher and higher hosting package.

Question 1:- I need suggestion which is better approach? I now if I install abantecart in sub folders then each vendor will have separate admin account and I will not be able to control and see all stores by one admin account. For sub domains all vendors will have different access rights in case I create users in one central login.

Question 2:- For different products, it sounds fine that main store names are makeup, cloths, perfumes but if I get four vendors selling same product type, lets' say Makeup then what should be best way to cater it as it is not multi vendor where all different vendors can select category and upload same products type for selling. It's I am giving whole shop to one vendor so will it look fine if my subfolder names are different for same products like gloriuosmakeup , mymakeup, getmakeup etc when these three names for makeup brands are three different vendors not linked with each other means they are three different business but same product type they are selling.

Question 3:- With a scenario of giving shops to different vendors and then letting different vendors shops for selling the same product type, how my shopping cart should be managed? Will it go best with sub folder with separate cart or sub domain with combined carts?

Regards,

Hello.

Create a new administrator user and provide him an admin URL like subdomain1.mainstore.com/index.php?s=adminkey
He will see only own categories and products. However, this is not a full solution few code modifications will be required to prevent this user to login into main default store and hide others stores when new products created.

Ok, I will try the first point...

Now what about second point in which I want users to be navigated to another store by clicking product link on my main store. Actually the problem is if I market my main store then users will only come there and will not be knowing about my products on my other stores which are on my sub domains, for instance, perfumes.choozeonline.com

I want a solution that I bring traffic on my main store and users get on my other stores as well... there is no option on main store which can navigate the traffic to my stores on my sub domains

Hello.
First of all set your main store www.choozeonline.com

For the second store make sure perfumes.choozeonline.com is pointed to the same path. Check this in your hosting cPanel

You are asking me to remove http before www in my main store? When I save store, http is automatically populated in the field. See JPG.

My sub domain is in same directory, Please See JPG.

If I write store/ at the end of sub domain of perfumes then still its not working and displays error:-
Not Found
The requested URL /store/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hello,

My main store is choozeonline.com
I created a sub domain perfumes.choozeonline.com/

I copied default template of main store which is by default template of Abantecart itself on my sub domain. When I click my sub domain, I so not see my store on it but  just see Index Page below:-

Index of /
 Name   Last modified   Size   Description
 cgi-bin/   2018-02-22 19:22   -

Question:- Where is the problem? Why my second store is not populating on my sub domain? Please also find attached JPG where my store Perfumes has default template copied from my main store

Regards,

Hello,

I am new to Abantecart. My scenario is that different ppl will run different stores on my website. I want each user to only access and see her store, she will be able to create categories, upload products and must be able to see only the orders which she gets on her individual store.

1. Can I do the above scenario through User Group Permission Features? If yes then what permission i should be giving to each store owner on my Website?

2. I want the main store the links to navigate to different stores which I have created on sub-domains. I want User to click a category on main store, let's say perfumes and the user should be navigated to another store which is particular to perfumes but is created on different sub-domain for example perfumes.mainstore.com/ . How can I do it? I do not see any option of navigation to another url while adding products and categories to a store. Or, simply tell me how my users will know about my other stores on sub domains if the user visits mainstore.com as my other stores are subdomain1.mainstore.com , subdomain2.mainstore.com

Regards.
