Hi, I am new to using Abantecart and I want to change / add slides to the slideshow on the home page, can anyone assist me and tell me which files to change etc.

Hello.

In admin go to Extensions->All Extensions
Find Slideshow2 and click Edit. Then click 'Edit slides' button. New page will appear and at the bottom of the page click on 'Add Slide' button. Add new image, url and title. Click SAVE.
