The error logs are blank!

So can I do it again, manually just to make sure that it installed properly?

The email system doesn't send emails, so it may be an incomplete installation.

After each and every fiddle with the settings, I sent a test email to myself from the sales section of the Admin menu. It always fails, and unfortunately AbanteCart doesn't have a test system button on the configuration page to make the configuration process easier. I've never had problems with other web programs, just this one.

Is there information about NON SMTP sending anywhere?

Sadly IMAP and POP3 are both turned on in the gmaail settings section and also to allow for non-secure applications is allowed.

I still get the Step 1 - failed. (Connection error occurred. HTTP-status:500) message and have tried SSL StartTLS, differennt outbound ports but nothing changes.

Any other ideas?

I did an inline upgrade from 1.2.12  to 1.2.13 that posted a "failed" message but I noticed that the footer stated that I had installed the latest version was. How do you force a upgrade reinstallation to be sure all of the new files, etc. are installed correctly?

I have never been able to get the smtp gmail email system to work. I've followed the instructions carefully, but only get a 500 error message. Ideas?

Example of Gmail SMTP

Mail Protocol – SMTP

SMTP Host - ssl://smtp.gmail.com

SMTP Username - your username (aka username if your email is username@gmail.com) (NOT adding @gmail.com, although both ways fail)

SMTP Password - your gmail password

SMTP Port - 465

When I sort the products by status, sorted so that off is at the top, some products are there and the ones I add using the cloning method or at least some of them are not.

There aren't any errors. If the cloned page status is left as OFF, the page will not appear the next time I log in. It does appear in the MySQL database CSV export.

I think that by "remove" you mean select the lines with indexs and DROP them and recreate?

I'd add that these may not drop -
The column name 'group' is a MySQL reserved keyword.
The column name 'key' is a MySQL reserved keyword.

When I backed up the database and did a drop on all, I got this message -
#1090 - You can't delete all columns with ALTER TABLE; use DROP TABLE instead
ALTER TABLE `ac_settings` DROP `setting_id` ,
DROP `store_id` ,
DROP `group` ,
DROP `key` ,
DROP `value` ,
DROP `date_modified` ,
DROP `date_added` ;

I deleted group and key individually, and re added. They listed as Primary Keys so nothing changed. The 1.2.7 update.sql file will not import so I'm back to where I began.

I clone products as many are very similar, and it's easier to perfect one and then clone and make changes to the clone. When they are switched on they stay visible in the web interface. When I log off, they vanish.

I also create clones in groups, so I Control click to open clones in new windows. It's much faster than clicking clone and editing one at a time.

In any instance, the MySQL creates a row for the cloned files, but they aren't visible when I log on again.

I think that the template files are in abantecart-src/public_html/storefront/view/default/template/ or the entire section under ...storefont?

Are they the only files to be copied to the working site? If so, I don't see a download link and right click doesn't copy the file tree. I do not see a way to download folders.

Is it a special GitHub method?

Not all. When I want to duplicate items, I just click the clone icon and work on each. If I make too many clones, I do not make those active. I just want a way to see those in the web interface, as they are saved to the MySQL database.

I've tried to do a manual update using the PHPmyAdmin interface and get this message -

#1061 - Duplicate key name 'unique_id in the ac_settings_idx settings. I've looked at the structure keys and compared the settings to another AbanteCart structure. The working system does not have primary keys for either Group or Key. How is the Group key removed as it may be the problem.

I have only found one reference to this phrase - FULLTEXT INDEX `ac_settings_idx` (`value` ASC) apparently to setup the ac_setup.

If not how do I fix the problem? I can restore prior versions of the MySql database and the original 1.2.6 files.

System check is already enabled for admin and storefront. The errors.txt file shows what the problem is, for some reason the system has lost track of the linkages, so not amount of web template changes does anything.

2017-04-24 7:01:42 - App Error:  AbanteCart core v.1.2.10 Error: Unable to identify file path to template blocks/donate.tpl! Check blocks in the layout or enable debug mode to get more details. 10002

How is this fixed?
