Thanks but I have done all this. I have the option for Guest Checkout selected in settings. None of my products are downloadable. When a customer is on the cart page with items in the cart they click on checkout. This takes them to the account/login page. The Guest Checkout option is not displayed.

I have tried that and tried it again after reading your post but it still doesn't show the Guest Checkout option.

Something has gone really wrong in my storefront. I have been struggling to get account verification emails to send and even when they do it appears that I have to physically go into the admin panel and approve a customer before they can complete an order. So I have given up on that. Now I turned off the "Approve New Customers" and turned off the "Email Activation for New Customers" and instead I want to allow "Guest Checkout". So i turned that on but no matter what I try I can't get it to appear on the Account Login page which is where customers are taken when they want to checkout or immediately after selecting an item to order. I have been struggling with this for hours and I'm going mad. There is likely a very simple fix to this that I am missing. So if anyone can help i would really appreciate it. I also noticed just a moment ago that I had selected  the option to allow a customer to stay on their current page after selecting to add something to their cart and that isn't working either. Any help would be much appreciated.

How-to questions / Re: Auto Approval not working
« on: December 11, 2017, 12:59:25 AM »
I thought of that. I made that change earlier today but I am still getting the same result. When a customer registers they get an email telling them that their account needs to be approved and that they will get another email when that happens and that second email has a link for them to click. This is exactly the same result as when I had email activation for new customers turned on. And I don't think I did mis-read anything either. All I want is for my new customers to get an email with a link that they click and that activates the account. Activation and approval are 2 different things. Every new account has to be both activated(turned On) and approved. Therefore if I want my new customers to get an email with a link for them to activate their account then Email Activation for New Customers should be turned on.

Does that make sense or am i missing something?

How-to questions / Auto Approval not working
« on: December 09, 2017, 05:23:22 PM »
I have tried everything. I have my store completely set-up except I can't get the auto approval to work. I don't want to have to be constantly signed into my AbanteCart backend administration to monitor for new registrations and then approve them manually . So what I want is for a new customer to to be automatically approved immediately after filling out the registration form at which point they will get an email telling them they are approved and then the customer clicks on a link to verify email address and activate the account. I am using version 1.2.10. My settings right now are:

system>settings>checkout
Email Activation for New Customers: ON
Approve New Customers: Off

Someone please tell me what i am missing. I've been trying to figure this out for hours now.

Customization help / Re: Adding a link to an item in the category menu
« on: October 21, 2017, 06:45:22 AM »
I did look at that. As I stated I am not looking to add a menu item to the main menu in the too right corner. I am looking to link a menu item from the category menu to the registration/ login page. The picture I supplied as an attachment shows what I am talking about. I am only on the forum asking because I already went through the manual and it doesn't have anything in there about linking a category menu item to anything other than a sub category or product page.

Customization help / Adding a link to an item in the category menu
« on: October 18, 2017, 11:56:39 PM »
I have created a category called Account so that it shows in the navigation menu for the storefront. I want to link it to the login page the same as what is done in the Top Menu. My reason for doing this is because I have removed that top menu from showing on Mobile devices but I need a way for clients to be able to access their account or register if they're new. Is there a way to do this? I have included a picture of what I mean
