Hello abolabo,
I login to admin using: http://domainname.com/index.php?s=YYYadminXXX
domainname and YYYadminXXX have been changed to protect the domain's identity.
All other menu options seem to be working fine.
This site is hosted by Arvixe and was automatically installed by them.  I don't have access to apache nor mail folders.

Thanks,
Robin

abolabo,
I clicked on mail several times but I don't see anything being added to the log.  Here is what's in there.

Basara,
Thank you for your response.  You are correct. That is exactly where the problem was.  I guess you can note it as an "ID Ten T" error (ID10T).  I placed the other image in the options and forgot about it.

Concerning the image size.  What I was trying to say is that when I view a product, it does not ZOOM in when the mouse is placed over it.  Do I have to create a small image and a very large or the cart is supposed to do that?

Support / Product Image remains after changed
« on: June 18, 2015, 11:09:01 PM »
Hello All,
I have a problem with images. First.  If I unlink an image from within the admin area and add a new image, it looks good there but when I go to the front end and try to view the product, the new image appears for a split second then the old image appears.  It changes back if I select something in the options area or the quantity.

Also, on all of the images I added to the cart, the size of the image does not change when selected or when I hoover over them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello abolabo,
The cart is installed in the root folder of the domain.
I checked the .htaccess rewriteBase. That's not the issue.Which file do I check for the permission issue?

Thanks,
Robin.

Hello abolabo,
I trust your judgement since you are part of the development team.  That may be true but I don't see the relevance to the index file not being recognized and my problem of the Mail module throwing an error.  Are you saying that the Linux mail is not configured correctly?  The cart can send mail perfectly.  I just can't access it from the admin menu.  I enabled the .htaccess file that came with the cart and when I click on mail from the admin menu, it now goes to the user screen with "The page you requested cannot be found!".
Everything else seem to be working fine.
The only configuration change I made to the server is the timezone.  I would assume that since the cart was installed by the hosting company, they should have the correct configuration for the software.
I don't know what else to do.

Not much to the screen shot.  Same as what I reported.

Hello All;
The problem with FEDEX returning crazy amounts for shipping was because I had the weight of the package set to GRAMS.  A 100.00 Gram package was returning over $500.00 for overnight shipping.  I changed it to 1 Pound and problem solved.

Thanks for looking.

Basara,
I did check the log and found nothing, but doing a system search for MAIL, I found a few entries.  I right clicked on the entry below and it opened up the mail configuration page and I was able to configure it and saved it.  However, when I try to access it from the menu, the same error appears and I have to press the BACK button to return to the admin section.

Mail Protocol:Mail: Default server mail server will be used. Make sure it is configured and able to send email with PHP mail. - default

Thanks Basara,
You are the genius of this operation.  I finally figured out that I had to enable FREE SHIPPING after wasting many hours.  What I think was throwing me off was the fact that the USPS extension has an option to select free shipping which I thought would have taken care of the free shipping and the other options would be presented as PAID options.  I was wrong.

However I now have another strange  problem. FEDEX is returning some crazy prices, as much as $500 for a small package within the same state, while USPS is on the opposite end.  Am I missing something somewhere else?

Thanks again,

Robin

Hello All,
Shipping is driving me crazy.
I have USPS and FEDEX setup for shipping.  Products are setup for FREE standard shipping within the USA.  If the customer wants expedited shipping, they should have that option, however that option is not being presented.  Both USPS and FEDEX are showing up as FREE upon checkout.
How can I setup shipping to allow the customer to select another option besides the free standard shipping.

Thanks for your help.

Hello All,
I need some help here.  I ignored this error when the cart was first installed and now it's coming back to haunt me.
Whenever I click in System -> Settings --> Mail, it returns this error:

Method Not Implemented
GET to /index.php not supported.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Please help.

Customization help / Re: Products with options Price Display
« on: May 29, 2015, 12:14:10 AM »
Hi Lee,
Thanks for your quick reply.
That is a very good idea that I may have to employ until I can get it the way I would prefer.
The problem is that when there are several options, the Total price is really pushed down, most times out of view.
I would hope someone makes that change soon.

Thanks again,
Robin

Customization help / Products with options Price Display
« on: May 28, 2015, 06:06:02 PM »
Hello All,
I hope someone could help me.  I've been struggling with this price display issue for weeks now.
When a product has options and you click to view the item, the base price is displayed on the top (Jumbotron) and the Total Price is displayed just below the options.  When an option is selected the Total Price changes but the Base Price remain and very few people see the change at the bottom.  For some people it looks deceiving.   Also, the options have the additional price which again is confusing.  The way it's worded, it looks like the price of the item.

Is there a way to display the Total Price where the Base Price is when an option is selected?  I think both places would be fine.  Also, how do I remove the Price Modifier from displaying on the options page.
I really need this fixed. It's driving us crazy.
Thanks,
Robin.

Installation and Configuration / Re: User managing a specific store

Well, I had my fingers crossed on that one.  That is a feature I need badly.  I have tried many carts in the last 5 months and AbanteCart is the best.
It would be nice if that feature could be added soon.
I will try to implement your suggestion. That should solve my problem.

Thanks again for a great piece of software.

Robin.
