Support / Currency - Auto update partially working..

Appreciate some advice on this ....

I have switched auto-currency update on and it mostly works - for USD, Euro and Pound Sterling - but it does not work for Australian Dollar (AUD) or Candian Dollar (CAD)!

What do I have to do to make this Auto Currency update work for AUD and CAD?  I have formatted them the same as USD...Decimal Places: 2 , Symbol Left: $, Code : AUD & CAD respectively.  Status is On - of course :-)

Hi  llegrand - appreciate your views...of course you do not know the background of the software I want to license limit and why.  Boils down to 2 things, 1) it was built with commercial software (due to the originating customer requirements) that costs me a substantial amount per year to have paid support/updates for and 2) It is a niche product that fits medium/larger organisations and they are sometimes - in my experience - quite reluctant to take on open source (or open source derived software). 

As for open source being free, well it often is but with the option to donate if one likes the product...something I am quite likely to do for Abatecart as it one of the better open source stores, in my opinion.

Returning to subject

I would have thought a password option for a digital download would have been a core requirement and not something which needed an add-on ....

Appreciate he reply jaja but I was looking for a no-cost open source solution....I am kind if a big fan of open source!

Hi,

I was just experimenting with digital product downloads, and I noticed that downloads are only available from the "My Account" form.  This means the customer has to know that they need to select the "My Account Form"  to access downloads after payment is complete - this is one extra step and not obvious.

How to Question ....

Why is the download not available on the post-payment form where "Your Order Has Been Processed!" is displayed?  And how can I put a link on that form to access the downloads from the post-payment form.

I guess so - just a license key entered into an install/setup program (nothing fancy).  A different license key for each software package....something like Abantecart keeping a list of valid license keys and randomly putting them on the product download page.

Hi  llegrand,

Appreciate the response.  Actually I am self-hosted, using Sentora.  With Sentora I can make Hosting packages, there is also a PHP API.  Currently I am looking at just linking across to the Sentora billing package from an  Abantecart product - but it would be nice if it could be integrated better (and I think the Sentora API might let me do that), so I am reaching out to see if anyone has done that and is willing to share.

Another quick question -  what would be the best way to add a sentora hosting package to abatecart?  Probably need some php hooks in the code at a guess!

Quick question - how does one go about adding a password to a downloadable digital product? - a key for a software package is what I have in mind?
