I am also getting the same response the 3 of you are getting. And to add my 2 cents to the pot...I agree that this is very necessary for helping a customer who is needing help in perhaps getting their first order done correctly!

Yes, I moved my mysqldatabase and copied the cpanel over to the new hosting website.

The Domain is the same...I am using loveisreal-believe.com/store as the abantecart directory.  One difference is that I have now the ssl set up for both www. and nonwww.

I checked and the hosting said that I can turn on the php-CURL...can you tell me how to do that?
I looked and I the only thing that looked like CURL was in the pear packages something called Net_Curl version 1.2.5
Is this what you wanted to be there? or if not please help me to install or edit as needed.

Also please direct me how to purge the system/cache directory (except index.html file)

thanks for the reply, I've been plowing snow! OK, so it looks like the blocks all must show up as available blocks...even though I have selected the html5 template to use...If I choose one that is not made for the html5 it seems to work because it puts it into the page layout..., how do I know which are made for the html5? And which are not?

Upgrade / problem can't go into extension store through abantecart admin

Abantecart,

I recently changed hosting company, and since I did the extension store is a strip down version with some of the graphics missing...i got an error message about the store not synchronizing properly with the cart....it seems that it is using the login id for my account rather than the original way it was set up by abantecart install.

This brings me a question that it may have other things not synchronizing properly due to the hosting change.  something was changed in the process. can you help?   And what do you recommend me to do?

Interesting question...I am using the html5 template 1.1.7 just updated to 1.1.8

For this particular block I just turned it on, and ...it had to have been there as I would have no idea how to build one from code...
here is a screen shot of the layout... as you can see the controller and block templates show up in this shot...

Let me know of anything else I can provide you with.

As I am thinking, I did install the free extension for 'storefront template #2' ...perhaps that block came in with that?

Hi just upgraded to the 1.1.8

First congrats on a very smooth upgrade process. very simple and easy to do!

So far only one thing I found. I have set the Order Summary Block to show up on the left side of the checkout pages...the checkout button goes to the home page instead of going to the check out page in the following....  On any other page it goes to the next page in the process...which is checkout/shipping

however is going to home page-when I am at this page: (when logged in)  https://www.loveisreal-believe.com/store/index.php?rt=checkout/address/shipping

or on this page (when checking out as guest)   https://www.loveisreal-believe.com/store/index.php?rt=checkout/guest_step_1

I can disable this block, but I would like my guest to see a copy of his order as (s)he is checking out.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Just a little update to show you what I have done to work with this...I found that the controller for the blocks/category seems to be taking from both the Menu items and the category items.  Check out loveisreal-believe.com Just above the slider banner I used that block and if you mouse over the home tab you will see that it works just as I wanted it to work...each link goes directly to the product page...however if you chose any of the three other tabs Apparel, Totes & Bags, Misc those will go to a category page...For those who understand code, which I don't, it seems like some of the code is there to do it...but it seems to be pulling from two different areas?

I will tell you how I did it.  I created the drop downs under the home tab under design/menu. and I added the external link for the product page for the direct link to each product page... for that dropdown tab...
example for the menu item Products/T-shirts/Ladies T-Shirts  I put the external link  http://loveisreal-believe.com/store/t-shirts/ladies-t-shirt

Thanks for the responses on this issue...the additional detail on how to get to the fallback image location will be helpful to others I'm sure.
I am most interested on how to make the cart work for all applications as I'm sure all at abantecart would like to see.

One of the reasons that I went with abantecart was that it advertised to work on all screen resolutions... So what can we do to fix these problems, particularly with the apple applications....seems it is not really working at all to make an order....That is the point isn't it?  To sell some of our products!!

OK, so this brings me to part two of how to make cart work on mobile phones...etc.

what I have found is that on my android phone...kyocera hydro...everything works pretty well except one thing

when you go to make selection of the options for my store items...on android...you have to uncheck the preselected choice or it leaves each box you select checked until you click again to uncheck it...this will work if people think to do this...
...My friend has i-phone...on there he doesn't seem to be able to make a selection at all...

I would appreciate if you all would try my site on your android and i-phones and let me know how it is working for you...as I want to be able to bring in all the cell phone users to my site as well

Much appreciated.  Also any other ideas...as the abantecart is advertised as working on all devices, I would like to hear from abantecart to see if there is a solution for this problem.

Thanks for showing me that link.  Yes, that is basically what I had figured out...which I had to find by right clicking on the picture and copy image url...that way I found the location of the file....I agree that there should be a note reminding folks that this needs to be done.  I'm sure that most of us would not want the stock fallback image on our website...we would want something that we had put in ourselves.  I hope Abantecart will take note of this and add a note where we are working on the banners.

Hi,
I am moving now to making the website work on mobile phones, tablets, and other devices.
Using HTML5 Template version 1.1.7 I see I have instead of the banner slider it goes to fallback image.  I can of course make my own picture and name it the same as the fallback image, and upload that file...but can you tell me where is the controller for this fallback showing up on the different screen resolutions?  I did not see an obvious way to edit this for layout on cellphones, ipads, etc.

I would appreciate any help in how to optimize for cell phone, ipad, etc use.

I had left this for more important issues...still not ressolved...I recall something similar to that...I also had received a message saying the login id and password may not be correct.
