I'm new to Abantecart. The USPS extension doesn't appear to be working correctly.
- I enabled USPS extension and put in my USPS login info.
- I entered a new product and when I try to checkout it says "Error: No Shipping options are available."
- I chose a sample product and it says "First class Mail Large Envelope". I did not choose this option when I set up the extension.
- I cloned this sample product and when I try to order the product it says - No shipping options are available.
I have a feeling I haven't set up something correctly. However I've tried all different kinds of settings and nothing helps. It seems to be stuck on that First Class Mail message.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

Hello.
In your product make sure you have:
- Require shipping enabled
- set product dimentions and class
- set product Weight and weight class
In USPS extension's settign page
- set correct API credentials (not login credentials!)
- set correct origin ZIP code
- enable USPS servises you want to allow (Domestic and international if needed)
So if everything is correct it should work. (your USPS API account should be active, customer's address is valid and delivery weight is accepted by USPS)

I appreciate your reply. Today I've been working with my host provider to try to figure out why it isn't working. Because it is not working on my new AbanteCart site and on one of their host AbanteCart test websites it would suggest there is a problem with the USPS extension.
However, I also ran a test on the AbanteCart DEMO application from AbanteCart.com. And it works OK there.
So for now my feeling is that there is something wrong with the software provided from my host. I'm talking to them about that possibility.
I'm curious if there are other AbanteCart users who are successful using the USPS and PAYPAL configurations?
I would appreciate any feedback.

Try to check AbanteCart and server's error logs

I checked AbanteCart's error log and it's empty.

Try to enter API login & password again and save. Maybe this is simple typo?

Oh, maybe you mean the USPS credentials in AbanteCart cart. I've used those same credentials on the AbanteCart cart and my other website with 3dcart.

I've been working with my host support team and they have determined that AbanteCart cart ver 1.2.10 works OK but 1.2.11 does not so there must be a bug in ver 1.2.11
They are going to put me on 1.2.10 so I'll see how that goes.

The demo you check is 1.2.11 so issue somewhere else.
How did you install 1.2.11? cPanel installation or regular?

The DEMO I tested was 1.2.10 and I got it at AbanteCart.com This one works OK
1.2.11 was installed by my Host provider and I'm not sure which method they used to install it. In this version the USPS extension does not work. It was tested by myself on the one they installed for me and also by the Host provider on one of their test sites.

I think issue in 1.2.11 is related to dimentions set in USPS settings if leave them empty it should work. Thank you for reporting problem we will investigate and fix

FYI one issue were fixed in 1.2.12 branch but you can apply fix to 1.2.11 manually see commit in https://github.com/abantecart/abantecart-src/issues/1034
