Lee,

Thanks for the wonderful tool.  I tried our website on it...sure enough the 320 pixel looks just like the view on my cell phone.
This is one I will definitely use!

Thank you! and Happy New Year
to all you wonderful folks that Lee mentioned.  I, too, am very much appreciating what Abantecart has to offer.  We are starting a brand new business, and without the tremendous help I receive here I would not have been able to create our own shopping cart with such great quality.

Thank you to the Abantecart family!

Ron,
I ran into problems with this as well...I had not set up my locations properly under system/localization...Don't know if that will help you.

best of luck with it.

I tried this as well...will it fix translation into any language?  will let you know how it works

abantecart,

I am not sure that you understood my question, because you mentioned same across all product listing pages...
Yes, that is fine...
Where I do not want to see it is on Category Pages

Please check out my site loveisreal-believe.com ...  click  category from products drop down menu. Products/ T-shirts you will see page with 5 (products) t-shirts on it...this is category page, however it has add to cart under each type of t-shirt.

How do I remove the add to cart button from the category page?

Thanks,
David

abantecart,
I am interested in this post, as I would like to be able to remove the 'add to cart' button from the category view but not the product view...It is confusing to me that you would add to cart from the category in the html5 template...as you want to add to cart in the product where all the details for the product are...

Can this be changed in the next upgrade for the cart...or at least to have the option of having it there or not...?

Thanks,
David

the cert is not supposed to be wildcard cert...but they have set up a wildcard in forward...is this what you refer to?

Abolabo,

Thanks for the reply,  So if I change my system/settings/details Store url to http://mydomain.com instead of ...mydomain.com/store
and the secure store url to https://mydomain.com instead of https://mydomain.com/store
Abantecart is installed in folder mydomain.com/store

you can see further detail of my setup on topic:

what forward do I need to set up?
does the ssl set up need to change?  (see above post for details)?
thanks,
David

Abolabo,

My hosting is providing the ssl cert which I have already paid for...it covers only with www. or without- not both
my perception is the folks on the internet are moving to without www. domains... for easier access, so I set it up for without www. for the ssl cert...

perhaps the other question I just pm you will cover this as well.

Abantecart,

Sure, the site is loveisreal-believe.com
This is the only place I have found that it does this where it points to loveisreal-believe.com/store.
I have set up the forward of http://loveisreal/believe.com  to  http://loveisreal-believe.com/store Does it gets an error page...because there is no forward from http://loveisreal-believe.com/store...to https://loveisreal-believe.com/store?

I just today set up 2 additional stores to test out the multistore option...with yours and Llegrand's help...you can see from those also the difference in the link from the home tab ...and if you click on the Family logo in the upper left  which also takes you back to the correct home page...these 2 do not have the ssl set up on them but you can see by mouse over the difference in the links...

Below is what the hosting set up for the redirects
Current Redirects set up for this domain:

Domain                                       Directory            Redirect Url                Type                 Match www.    Wildcard
(www.)?loveisreal-believe.com    /                          /store/             temporary                                X
(www.)?loveisreal-believe.com    /(/)?                 store/index.php     temporary

check my two other stores        http://newstore.loveisreal-believe.com/     and      http://store3.angelsofhope1.com/

let me know if you need to see anything else.

Installation and Configuration / Re: another try on multistore setup

Thanks Lee,

I got it now too...I tried setting up 2 other stores to test it.  One under the same domain with a subdomain and the second one under another domain in my same hosting account...and both worked perfectly as long as the 'document root' was exactly the same as the default store location.

Thanks  again for the perseverance to see it through.

I want to say that Lee's input made it very clear...so Please add this to the instructions to help others!

Abantecart,

n the dropdown menu created by the categories block - html5 template ver 1.1.7

Click home tab of menu created by category Block and it goes to mywebsite.com/store but since i have installed the ssl cert... It now goes to a page in the store(html5 template) that says:

THE PAGE YOU REQUESTED CANNOT BE FOUND!

The page you requested cannot be found.

 Continue

'continue' is a button which you can click to take you to the home page:
mywebsite.com/store/index.php?rt=index/home

It is nice that it at least goes back to the site, however I think most shoppers encountering this may give up and go elsewhere
seems like this is some error in the set up of the block controller....I looked at the controller  but it is all greek to me...besides if we make a change there it will disappear when upgraded....So I think this may be a problem for abantecart to deal with...
What would be best is if you could have the block code go to the seo code for the home page...

Perhaps in the version 1.1.8 coming out soon?

Thanks,
David

Abolabo,
Ok,  but the only way you get to this warning is if you type out the full ssl address with www.

https://www.loveisreal-believe.com/

Am I correct? I can find out if there is a way to forward the https to http...my c-panel does not allow to add the s after the http of the domain to be forwarded..I can only add it to the fwd to domain.  I just want to be sure that it doesn't create a loop with what is already there as it is finally working the way it is supposed to for the store...Is there any reason the average customer would receive an alert of bad domain?  if you put in www.loveisreal-believe.com it forwards to the correct site.  Appreciate your thoughts on this.

Thank you,
David

abantecart,

Thank you for your response....the part I have particular interest in is the following item:

• make sure to link the subdomain to the path where the default store was installed to

I have abantecart installed in the folder....mydomain.com/store   store being the renamed file for abantecart....  my webhosting does not know what to tell me as to where to put the 'newstore' because that is based on how abantecart is configured....

Here is my question..In C-panel my files look like this:      public_html/Mydomain.com/store
Now I set up a new store...called it newstore.mydomain.com.....cpanel asks what is the document root for the new subdomain...
Does the document root need to be......       public_html/mydomain.com/store/
see below the abantecart files are located under store, along with the new file for newstore

   store/
       admin

       core

       download

       extensions

       image

       newstore

       resources

       static_pages

       storefront

       system
now if I read correctly this should work because 'newstore' is located under the /store file path
in another post you said that you do not need to copy the abantecart files to the newstore location?  Correct?

I hope this question is clear...because it sounds like the problem we are having is due to location of the file for the new store?
However I have tried this and still does not work???
I will try do deep clean of my computer then see if it works...
David
