when customers put above 2 quantity and press update, it goes back to 1

Hi to all ive been trying to update abantecart but always stuck on
Attention!
AbanteCart is about to be upgraded to version 1.1.8!
Automatic full backup will be created. It is recommended to try upgrade on test site first.
