During the checkout process, I want to capture two data points (gift cert. recipient name and gift cert. recipient email). I'm using Product Options to display those fields. How do I export these values or otherwise create a report to show these values along with others?
I need to export and/or report on data customers entered during the ordering process. The built-in Reports provide a summary, but I need more details and in particular, the details captured during ordering process through the product option fields I provide them. How can this be done?
My goal is to import the email addresses provided during the order process and contact those soon-to-be customers.
Any tips welcome! I'm launching in two weeks and need to solve this.
Has anyone else had success at using the Order Attribute extension? Setup went smoothly, and I retraced my steps, but no fields are displayed for customer during purchase process. Any troubleshooting tips?
Bought the Foxy Template and install is not going well. Still waiting for kind developer to respond to my questions. Anyone have the install instructions or can tell me why it won't retain the retina logo? Also, I want to keep my current layouts, but when I switch to Foxy, layouts are not retained, the blocks are duplicated making it hard to select the correct block.
I'm using Categories to create a menu structure. For the two empty categories which have no product "Blog" and "Events" which I want to link to external URLs, I need help.
I don't know how to apply the URL so that it works like a menu. I don't know how to avoid displaying the "This category has no products."
My host first needs the site to be live to enable HTTPS, but site is not ready and I don't want to take down current site until this new one can replace it within hours.
Related to this, I have a couple related questions: 1) Where do I learn about the development workflow to understand the sequence of standing up an e-com site to see if I'm overlooking something?
2) Some of my HTML Blocks use absolute addressing to build menu links, this means I have http:// , and anticipate that these links will break once the site switches to HTTPS. What can I do to minimize the "URL fixing" I have to do after HTTPS is enabled. I don't see a way to make links relative when building Blocks.
I'm new to e-commerce site development, but with AbanteCart, things are going pretty smoothly.
We plan to use Authorize.net as the payment gateway, but what I'm unclear about is if this means no PII is stored in AbanteCart. Who do I ask? Currently, I'm planning to get HTTPS and a signed certificate plus dedicated IP. Is this overkill?
We require our customers to pick up their orders at a predefined week, but they can pick the location and date from a range. To make this available in AbanteCart check out process, how do I turn off shipping option and customize language, add extension (??) to enable scheduling a pick up date and secondly a return date.
Our products are "rented" for a 6 week period. Customers pick up and drop off product from a set of convenient locations which I want to display and show corresponding dates.
