Thanks flyn  -  regarding notification of new orders, do you use only the main email or do you also use the additional emails option?  Do you have it set for "Mail" or "SMTP"?  I know this is a stupid question, but do you have "alert mail" switched to ON?

I do go to the review section often, that is how I noticed this - not a huge issue, but would be a little more frosting on the cake.

Thanks again and all the best
Ron

Well, I did post it as a suggestion in new features - also a separate post here in the forum so hope that it's not considered a double post.

Thank you again for the help.

Good Day all ya'll

I did post this in requested features so hope it is not considered a double post.

Looking to get notification of review pending approval - I can't find where and may not be a function so thought to ask here - either Team AC or one of the usual excellent members who provide fixes will answer I'm sure.

Thank you all very much for the support and to Team AC for their hard work and dedication -- DONATE DONATE DONATE to help making AC better and better, it is well deserved and needed.

All the best
Ron

Greetings - I just found out that I don't get a notification of pending reviews that require moderation and thought to suggest this as a new feature - it will save me going and looking every day or two.

Thanks for all your hard work, AC and the team are greatly appreciated!

All the best

yonghan -- Thank you, Gracias, Shukran, Toda, Wado, Dank u zeer, Merci, Danke, Mahalo, Takk, Obrigado, Spasibo!, Nandri, A sheynem dank

Now that this is fixed I went into Apanel to fix the reviews that were already there - at this point I found that I have not been getting notification of reviews submitted - this is important as there is the requirement of approving the reviews before it goes public.  I've searched Apanel and didn't find anywhere for review notifications.

Can you or anyone else point me in the right direction.

Thank you once more yonghan.

All the best,
Ron

That you're not getting some support is very sad indeed.  Your continued efforts though are admirable and greatly appreciated very much.

not that I know of but there is a section to request features - I can imagine that they are implementing more core changes plus the new extension store requires quite a bit of effort I think.  knowing this team it is just certain that they are always working to give us a better and better cart - hope they are getting the support needed, all this costs money so I hope that donations or funding for particular extensions are happening.  BTW, you mentioned Google - yes they crawl the comments as well as all other textual info

All the best

Greetings Flyn - yes I tried line break in the text, tried using HTML break, and BBCode break - but this is only a text field.  It would be nice to have that option.  My reviews are sometimes very long so it would come in handy for people to understand it better.

Thanks for taking the time to write - have not heard back on this one for quite a while, but I do know that the AC team is very busy with some upcoming cool stuff so I don't mind too much waiting for this fix for a while.

All the best

Customization help / Re: image fade in banner

Regarding the  slideShowDelay: 6000  -  just in case you don't know (most likely do but ...) 6000 represents 6 seconds - 10000 represents 10 seconds, etc.

younghan actually answered the time issue on the slider for me in June - http://forum.abantecart.com/index.php/topic,2342.msg9831.html#msg9831

The part to change begins on line 1:

Code: [Select]
$(window).bind("load", function() {
    $(function () {
            $('#banner_slides').show();
            $('#banner_slides').oneByOne({
                className: 'oneByOneSlide',
                easeType: 'random',
                slideShow: true,
                slideShowDelay: 6000,
                responsive: true
            });
        })
});

"you should edit the js file here (referring to the above link to github - https://github.com/abantecart/abantecart-src/blob/14375c4f42ef9e695e9783f50f6dda3ba7109847/public_html/storefront/view/default_html5/javascript/custom.js) instead of the onebyone.min.js.and please edit yhe slideShowDelay variable.and about animation type,it was set random by default."

Worked for me

Good luck!

Support / Re: account activation language changes on page and email
« on: June 30, 2014, 11:35:18 AM »
Greetings - thanks for this info, very useful as we are trying to make notifications uniform.

The create page has been modified as mentioned above and sends the correct document.

I've edited the order_confirm.tpl page and the page looks pretty good, pending more refinements; but, I am not sure which code goes at:

1.  Welcome for registering at (shop name)

2.  Confirmation URL

I am attaching the page - I'm certain that it is my lack in understanding and would appreciate your help with this or suggestion for how to solve.

Thank you very much
Ron

New Features Discussion / Test changes via apanel
« on: June 30, 2014, 10:23:09 AM »
Greetings,

An example of what I mean is this - am changing the information in the language definitions for mail_account_create - would like to email myself a copy of the latest version after changing it - a "test" button from within apanel would allow me to test out the new data

thank you

That was actually a clever idea - no I don't input weight on the tangible items or the digital - that's why I'm using the price based shipping module.  The items I tested with yesterday I put as 1.00 pounds each so it would work with the changes you make in the php file, but it didn't work - in fact the price based extension didn't calculate shipping any longer.

I believe it would be a very important improvement as digital goods are getting to be a very important part of business.

Thanks for the effort and all the best
Ron

so.. solution is in attachment. Just replace file extensions/price_based_shipping/storefront/model/extension/price_based_shipping.php.
i added condition for products without weight. If it zero - will not effect on shipping price.
 please check and let me know

Thanks much once again - here is my experience with the price_based_shipping.php file you reworked for me.

I do not know if this worked or not because another problem was created in charging the correct amount.

Example:

I went to 5 different items and put a 1.00 pounds for weight.  These items are $4 each so I put 3 of each (15x$4=$60).  My shipping is set as follows:
20:5,50:9,80:12,120:16,1000:22  -  therefore with a subtotal of tangible goods, using that structure the shipping should have been using 50:9 but it continued charging 20:5

Therefore, I cannot make a determination if digital goods are exempt from shipping since all subtotals are charging the minimum shipping rate.

Thank you for your assistance - hope to hear back from you soon as a fix for this would be very much welcome.

All the best
Ron
