Title: Set Telephone Number As Mandatory

Hello! Sorry if i posted this in the wrong section. I need help on how to set some of the registration fields mandatory to fill in. I want customers to fill up their phone numbers upon signing up. Please, i need help. Thank you! Greatly appreciated if anyone could provide me with some steps.

I can't seem to get around with the provided steps. That one mainly to remove mandatory field for telephone. Even i tried to do steps in reverse, the code lines are different than mine. i'm running on 1.2.9

You might find this extension to be effective for you and much quicker than re-coding.
