Title: File manager
Post by: dannette on May 05, 2016, 02:04:47 PM
I use Joomla a lot and there is a file manager that also has a stand-alone version. I was wondering if there was an easy way to integrate that into AbanteCart?
Would I make an extension with developer tools to somehow point to the folder? Here is the file manager: extplorer dot net slash files (this will not allow me to put in the link)
If it won't integrate easily, I'd just like to upload it to the server and somehow make a link to it in the admin menu.
This would make it easier to not have to ftp or go to cpanel especially when trying to change and check css files.
I'm still new to AbanteCart but have been developing with Joomla for a number of years with some experience with Wordpress and Open Cart.

Did you check Resource Library in AbanteCart 1.2.6?

That doesn't give access to the template files to edit them and save them while working on them for each template. This just looks like where the images are stored.

Hello.

You can do this in your hosting panel

I'm trying to avoid having to open cPanel to do something this will do. This takes the place of cPanel in the back end of a cms.  I'll still be able to use this - I was just wondering if there was a way to make a link to it on the side menu in the backend without "hacking" the menu file. When installed it is automatically password protected as well.

There are lots of access tools out  there,  both free and paid for.  I don't think having this ability with the admin is a good idea -  there are way too many cart users you don't understand any of that.

You could do this in an app  like Beyond Compare  from  http://www.scootersoftware.com/ (http://www.scootersoftware.com/)

You can use an FTP client like  the free lite from ipswitch

Try the Free - html editor from Coffeecup
