I agree that might be annoying, but same is on IOS for instance :)

Generally, it is a good practice to update to new versions as there might be critical fixes and new features.

Check your web server log.
You need to check you web server log files. Location can be different server to server. Ask your hosting.

You need to locate file .../system/logs/error.txt via hosting control panel or FTP.
See what errors you get there.

If you did not change any files or codes you can contact hosting to check this issue for you.

Looks like abc_settings database does not exists.

Check the following:

1. See if this table or other tables exists in your database
2. Check configuration file system/config.php
Check that you did not change table prefix in the settings.
You might have different one.

Using PHP mail function is always tricky. You need to make sure that PHP is configured properly for this.

System log in the web server will give details.

AbanteCart v2.0 / Re: Template engine

We have opened a new branch for v2.0. It is in active works.

See, there is a twig render already included in the view for templates.  Similarly other template engines can be added.

We do not have Twig template example yet, but we can work together and set it up.
You can help finishing template.

We still working on default template concept for v2.0 storefront. It will be on Bootstrap 4.0. It needs to be very flexible for all the containers.

Feel free to explore idea.

Do you have access to your web server logs? Logs should show all the requests. Somewhere in the request it should show the order ID. You can trace IP address and figure out what was set by customers.
Possibly they fake the response to trick AbanteCart with success transaction.
