General Support / Database connection error

I am getting the below error messages from time to time and as i see that it is related to a database connection issue, i contacted my host provider A2 Hosting and they say that there is no errors in their log files.

What may cause this issue??

I have installed abantecart version 1.2.15 and i get the bellow errors in my log can anyone explain please what are these errors?

Built-in Features / Product option images

In previous versions of abantecart, 1.2.13 and lower when a product has attributes and we assign an image for each attribute for example color attribute then on the storefront when the customer choose the color the image of the product will change.

On version 1.2.14 and also 1.2.15 this is not the case, that is, the image of the product does not change according to the customer choice. Is this a bug or i am missing something in the configurations

When i checked my site pages at the W3C validator for CSS and HTML there are together around 800 warnings, i thought possibly that these warnings are due to third party extensions so i put all extensions OFF and tested and the validation was more or less the same, which mostly means that it is most probably from the abantecart code.

Websites with no such warning may rank better on search engines and it is a good thing if these can be checked and fixed, please see the links below for errors and warnings


General Support / 2checkout multistore issue

I have a multistore site, the domain and subdomain for wholesale.

When a sale is made at the main domain and processed with 2checkout the approved URL is correct and the order status is updated from "Failed" to "processing"

When the sale is made on the wholesale site, the subdomain, the order status is not changed although the payment was successful

I am not an expert but I think that this issue is because the approved URL is the same for both the main domain and the subdomain and possibly also i need to configure the approved URL with 2checkout to accept payments from 2 domains, the main domain and the subdomain with 2 different approved URL's

General Support / Version 1.2.14 database issue

I have version 1.2.14 installed and upgraded from 1.2.13 and previous versions and decided to do a fresh installation of 1.2.14 on a testing site so that in future upgrades i will test the upgrade before upgrading the live site and here what i found as an issue but don't if it is something important.

In the live site, the upgraded version, in the database table "custom_lists" the available fields are
(`rowid`, `custom_block_id`, `data_type`, `id`, `store_id`, `sort_order`, `date_added`, `date_modified`)

while in the 1.2.14 version fresh installation the available fields are
(`rowid`, `custom_block_id`, `data_type`, `id`, `sort_order`, `date_added`, `date_modified`)

note the [store_id] column is not available!!

Possibly that this is an issue or bug that affects the cart??

I have installed the latest version of abantecart, version 1.2.14 and have noticed recently that if a product has more than one image ONLY one image loads and even when the customer clicks on the product options to change / choose color the image the product with the chosen color does not load.

Previously everything was working correctly

General Support / Assign customer to store automatically

I have 2 stores one for retail customers and the second for wholesale customers, when a customer creates an account on the retail site he should be set to the "Default" group, and when the customer creates an account on the wholesale site [or the second site] he should be assigned automatically to the "WHOLESALERS" group but this is not the case, how can i fix this issue?? or this is a bug?

Template Support / Main menu disappears when customer login

i have installed the latest version of abantecart 1.2.13 and using the default template that come with the installation, and i have two stores one for retail and the other for wholesale.

I have noticed that the menu disappears when the customer login and this is the case in both stores. i think that this issue came up on the latest version because i never noticed that on previous versions

I checked the logs but there is no mention of error on this issue

Maybe I should clone the template and use different menu for each store or this is not the problem

Can anyone help?

SEO / Reviews on storefront

I have reviews submitted by customers but cannot see them on the storefront although in Settings >> General >> Allow reviews is ON and customers reviews are approved.

I have been using abantecart platform for about 2 years and it is a very good cart, flexible, multistore, easy to use .....

lately i needed to fix and issue with the send mail and contact form and i referred to the paid support, paid $59 for an hour work and the issue was solved incorrect, since monday august 20, 2018 i have been sending emails to informing them that the contact form was not fixed correctly and i am not getting any reply.

i appreciate an opinion from the developers of the cart

I have a multistore problem and it is new maybe it is a bug that needs immediate attention, please go to my site it is a bit hard for me to explain. this bug is on the second store.

Extension Support / Forms manger extension

I have a mail issue problem, searched a lot and tried a lot of tricks and previously submitted this problem on this forum.

The Contact Us form does not work with the smtp configuration because my host does not accept the FROM field to be other than the my default email but it works with the PHP mail function.

On the other hand, the SENDMAIL feature, new account registration, or when order is placed i do not receive any email notifications if the Mail settings are PHP mail.

Please advise how i can solve this problem.

i have a problem after the upgrade of abantecart 1.2.12

after the upgrade no additional email alerts are sent and also on order creation no email are sent.

Can anyone please help?? i searched the forum if anybody has this problem but did not find anything.

I have google analytics tracking code on my cart and recently i installed google tag assistant which checks the pages you surf for errors, and the result was that google assistant tags give the following error message {Code found outside of <head> tag} the code should be in the head tag otherwise the statistics will not be recorded correctly.

How can i enter the code in the <head> tag
