AbanteCart Charged (Former v2.0) / Supplier Extension
« on: February 18, 2018, 02:08:44 PM »
Just throwing an idea here...

I did open a topic here:

Code: [Select]
http://forum.abantecart.com/index.php?topic=6277.0

and after a discussion I had with llegrand

it became obvious that abantecart does lack that option...

So it would be great if you guys could come up with such an option (if possible of course) if we could bundle the products to the specific suppliers and to be able to send/ship them accordingly; which also would allow for more accurate shipping. (see attached pic)

Just as an idea.

PS: I did contact the guy of the supplier extension

Code: [Select]
https://marketplace.abantecart.com/supplier?v=586

if he/she intends to upgrade it for the current AbanteCart version but so far nothing... so far my shipping costs cannot be accurately calculated or I will have to "push" the cost to the customer... which would suck  :-[

Hi,

I did indeed use the inspector of google to get the div id... (but according to what you posted... it appears that I did see the wrong id? frankly... I do not know)...

Now, what I did was to insert at the bottom of the extension's css file the following:

Code: [Select]

@media only screen and (max-width: 500px) {
section.slider {
    display: none;
}

}

similarly I did apply the code at the end style.response.css and the onebyone.css

No need to do that? I guess... what I am quite positive that one of these three css file are affecting the slider...

I did clear the cache of firefox... but nothing so far...

I guess I will have to wait for a while for probagation to do its thing? I don't know...

Hi,

Currently I am using AbanteCart Version 1.2.12...

As an extension it "most probably" (not 100% sure though) it appears that it could provide me with that option...

Apparently, a work around is currently not available I guess...  :-[

Finally, I would like to thank you llegrand for all your insights and time you did spend to help me out... thank you  :)

I believe you just described it correctly of what I want to do...

So, abantecart does not have something like that correct?

Meaning that it would require an extension? I believe the one that you provided me with?

I am asking because I have no idea>  :-\

Basara, what I did add at the end of the css was the following:

@media only screen and (max-width: 500px) {    #banner_slides {        display:none;    }}

I did send you the link...

did I do something wrong here?

also:
the link below is the one that leads to the css file(s):
/extensions/si_orange_theme/storefront/view/si_orange_theme/stylesheet

Hi llegrand,

currently I am trying to combine weight-based and item shipping but...

as you said, I cannot find a clear solution as stated in the above example...

is there a way to group products coming from a wholesaler...

like in the above example...

if the customer buys the two products from wholesaler A, to group these items in one shipment and the Product C, coming from the other Wholesaler, in the second package... total of 2 packages based on weightbased shipments... or something like that

Hi llegrand and thanks for the quick reply...

apparently it may be the one...

but besides a payed extension... does the core/default abantecart have such options available?

Hi guys (this is the second topic that I have open)... unfortunately...

In this case I am asking more about a drop of wisdom rather than a programming problem...

Let us assume that I have the following case:

Merchant 1, has 2 products:
--------------------------------
Product A
Product B

Merchant 2, has 1 product:
-------------------------------
Product C

And let us assume that the two merchants are located in 2 different cities.

Now, a customer decides to buy Product A, B and C...
Which means that 2 different parcels will be shipped to the customer...
One from merchant A and one from merchant B...

How do I set up the shipping costs?

If I set them, ship product individually... than the customer would have to pay 3 shipping rates...
I believe that Flat shipping rate, will not work in this case either...

I mean how do I combine the shipping rates in this case?
Is there a way to group items A and B or something?

I have no idea how to do that, so any insights are more than welcomed...

Hi Sam,

thanks for the reply... yes I realized that after a couple of minutes and did that exactly... but still the same problem remains...

the link below is the one that leads to the css file(s):
/extensions/si_orange_theme/storefront/view/si_orange_theme/stylesheet

so far nothing...

for the records, I did end the code you wrote at the end of both css files (namely, style.css or response.ccs)

am I missing something? :-/

OK.. so basically I enter the CSS (style.css or response.ccs ?) file add this section below the banner section (?) and it should do the trick?

edit:

I went into storefront/view/default/stylesheet/style.css

added the code at the end of the stylesheet and saved it.

If I have understood you correctly and done it correctly; it is a matter of propagation now... so once the change appears I will keep you posted.

If on the other hand, I did something wrong please let me know.

I thank you  :)

One question through...

Is there a way when somebody uses his/her PC to have the main banners active but once someone switches to let us say, mobile screen, for these banners to be deactivated?
