Okay, so I used your tip (very useful tool, thank you for letting me know about it btw), and I found the files. I tried editing them by removing the lines of code I highlighted in the attached image. It gave no result, the menu was unchanged. I made sure the cache was off and cleared my browser cache, even tried it on a VPN so I don't think it's a cache issue, I think I probably must be missing something. I freely admit, I'm no expert at this though, not even close, so I rank the chances of me missing something fairly high. Any help would be very welcome  :)

I'd like to remove these two items from the my account menu - can someone direct me how to do that please? Also I would prefer to remove "Not (user name)?" from before "Logoff" in that drop down menu. Help will be apricated  :)

This is strange, and I think I owe an apology somehow. I was going over the checkout progress and after creating an account I had to select free shipping and then press enter before the payment options would appear. I checked and the option you referenced was already set to yes, so I made no changes. Only now I can't replicate that issue in registered account checkout. I can't explain it (a page loading issue perhaps?), but regardless I absolutely should have done more vetting on this before posting my question, so I apologize for apparently wasting your time  :(

I'd like to set my checkout process to have free shipping pre-selected by default - can someone direct me to the correct file to modify, as well as hopefully point out what needs to be modified in the file code to make this happen please? Your help will be very much appreciated  :)

I brought this back to my web host and they investigated. Here was their reply so far:

Of the error logs that we looked through, not one was being written to while we visited and refreshed the site. Please keep in mind that the rest of the site also seems to resolve with no particular issue.

We also attempted to see if an error was being detected in the browsers "Developers Tools", but the developers tools also returned a "200 - OK" status, showing that requests were correctly being made to the server. To test this, we moved one of the "index.php" files to an unreadable filename, and installed our own "index.html" page with some sample text. This file resolved when being navigated to.

We believe that this might be the fault of the "AbanteCart's" configuration , but to confirm our suspicions, we will be passing this ticket up to our Level 2 Technicians to take a closer look, in order to ensure that nothing was missed over the course of our investigation.


Does that tell you anything by any chance?

I'm getting this warning when trying to access my AbanteCart's admin back room: "There has been a critical error processing your request. Please check AbanteCart and webserver error logs for more details. You can check error log in the control panel if it is functional. Otherwise, refer to error log located on your web server."

The details are
- App Warning:  AbanteCart core v.1.2.8 Warning: Accessing store with non-configured or unknown domain
- Check setting of your store domain URL in System Settings . Loading default store configuration for now. in
- /core/lib/config.php on line 210

I'd like to be able to edit the link that's in my store's logo. I found I can do it by changing my store's URL in the settings, but that causes serious problems in displaying the page. I'm hoping there's another way. In a script file somewhere?

2.) Sorry, i don't understand your answer, can you please re-state it in another way? Also, Auto Select also isn't working for shipping method. I have Free Shipping, FedEx, and UPS enabled, with Auto Select turned ON for Free Shipping and OFF for UPS and FedEx. During checkout though, Free Shipping is not preselected.
3.) I figured this one out, thanks :)
4.) Tried that, didn't work.

New version of AbanteCart, installed just a few days ago (version 1.2.0). Here's my questions/problems list:

1.) I get a message about a core update, but when I go to the link, it says there's nothing there. No updates are showing under the "Updater" either.
2.) I have Authorize.net as my store's only payment method, and when I turn "Auto Select" ON, during the check-out process it doesn't auto-select. It also doesn't remember the shipping choice from the cart, a customer has to select it again and then the payment select option appears and Authorize.net has to be selected.
3.) Is there a way to remove the coupon field from the shipping and payment selection page as well? Right now, there's only the option to remove it from the cart page that I can find. I would actually prefer to be able to remove Checkout Step 2 all together if possible as there's no reason to have it there with shipping method having been chosen in the cart and there being only one payment method to chose from.
4.) I can't seem to change the favicon. I searched and found only "favicon.ico" and "4.ico" and replaced them both. There are no other .ico file in the directory, but my store's still showing the default AbanteCart favicon. I cleared the cache an tried in different browsers.

Note: In the UPS extension, the ON/OFF buttons for shipping methods seem to be reversed. I have to turn them ON to turn them OFF and visa-versa. It's not really a problem to do that of course, but I thought I'd mention it to you anyway. (I tried this fix for the Authorize.net auto-select issue, but it didn't work)

I finally found out what was causing these script errors. It wasn't anything to with the security breach on my site, it was that I was disabling the background sections in "Layout & Blocks Manager". When I disabled "Footer Top", "Footer Bottom", and "Footer", the errors would occur. Re-enabling them and disabling the blocks inside them instead fixed the problem. I disabled and enabled those background sections a few times over to reproduce it and make sure it was what I thought, and it happened every time. I then narrowed it down further to just the "Footer" block as the source, not "Footer Top" or "Footer Bottom". So it sounds like it's a bug you should look into.

Why it showed up after the breach and not before, I would deduce, was because after the breach I was using a new version of AbanteCart, and before the breach I was using an older version where the "Layout & Blocks Manager" was different than it is now.

I have an update. To see if I could troubleshoot this some on my own, maybe find the point of failure, I installed a fresh version of AbanteCart and went about building the store as I did before, checking the front end every few steps to see if the scripts I mentioned before were still working.

I deleted the sample customers, orders, products, categories, and manufacturers, and then created a product. No problems up until that point.

Next, I modified the page layouts for "Default Page Layout", "Home Page", and "Default Product Page", and then uploaded a new version of "style.css" via FileZilla (version 3.9.0.5) and checked those scripts again. They'd failed, just like they had before.

I restored the default version of "style.css" and returned the page layouts to as close to their default appearances as I could remember, but the scrips still did not work.

I did not modify this new test install of AbanteCart in any other ways than those I just described.

Any idea what could be going on?

I did ask our web hosts about it, but I wasn't able to find out anything about the request used from them unfortunately.
I ended up having to scrap the whole store, do a new install, and build it again from scratch, actually. And, as bad luck would have it, I'm having some trouble with it. The image zoom feature, reviews, and the final payment submission button aren't working. Any idea what could be causing that?

I just talked with Authorize.net, and they say that the credit card info is secure, but that there's a chance that the credit card info entered after the site was hacked could have been stolen by the malicious PHP sending the info to both a 3rd party and Authorize.net (but only those entered after, none before).
