The site url inside the admin panel has been set up correctly to "topflavours.co.uk"

From there, the index.html has been set up to frame forward to the AbanteCart sub directory.

However, the database that is associated with this installation has too many references to the AbanteCart sub-directory.
This seems to be throwing an error, when I move the contents from the AbanteCart sub-directory to the main public_html directory.

Can any one help?

not positive but i would think that if you remove /AbanteCart from the store url in system settings then move your files to the main directory it will work.

i noticed you already moved your files so you will probably need to go to phpmyadmin and change the config_url in the settings table.

i have changed that but getting a error:

Not Found

The requested URL /AbanteCart/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

i think you should to go to domain management in your hosting provider control panel and set root directory of domain
