Inability for customers to add items to cart

Very odd. Site was working fine two days ago, now the shopping cart icon does not appear on products, and they cannot be added to the cart, meaning orders cannot be placed.

I have not made any changes to the site at all during this time.

Site host indicates there is nothing they have done that should have caused this.

It is happening in multiple btowsers so it's not a browser issue.

I assume there is some write access that has been disabled but I have no idea where to look.

After a little more digging, I discovered this:

Items cannot be added from the category pages, the shopping cart buttons do not work.

Hwever, items can be added to the shopping cart with the "add item to cart" button on each item's individual page.

Checkout appears to work normally from that point.

So the question is, what would disable the quick add button on category pages when the site otherwise is working?

OK, here's more: after going to an item page and then back to a category page, the cart icons reappear on the category pages.

However, if I leave the site and close the tab and then reload the home page, the icons do not appear.

I am stumped.

Hello,

I've tested your website and everything appears to be functioning properly. I can successfully add items to the cart from both the category and home pages.

You need to test it again because it is still doing the same thing.

And I know it isn't just me because customers have reported the issue to me of being unable to add items to the cart.

Here are two screenshots.  The first is when I first load the site from my browser (I tried this with Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, all with the same issue.). As you see the add item icons are squares, and clicking on them does nothing at all.

The second is after going to an item page, and then going back to the home page. Now the icons are showing the shopping cart and will add the item to the cart by clicking on the icon.

Hello
Could you please confirm that you are accessing the correct URL? You can verify this by checking the store URL specified in your store settings. It's important to note that "www.website" and "website.com" are considered different websites, and browsers may block resources, cookies, and other elements, potentially leading to issues with fonts and sessions.

To ensure a consistent experience for all customers, it's recommended to implement a redirect in the .htaccess file. This will automatically direct customers to the URL you have designated in the Store settings.
