Advantages over Shopify and Prestashop

I'm exploring different e-commerce platforms and came across AbanteCart. It seems like an interesting alternative to Shopify and PrestaShop, especially for small businesses.

Does anyone here have experience using AbanteCart? What are its advantages compared to Shopify and PrestaShop in terms of cost, customization, usability, or features?

I love AbanteCart for its flexibility! It’s open source so you have the freedom to customize everything, unlike Shopify which limits you to the available themes and what the editor allows. Sure, PrestaShop also offers a lot of customization, but AbanteCart is more intuitive to manage for those without a technical background.

It's definitely more customizable than Shopify,  but the learning curve is steeper.  PrestaShop is somewhere in between, easier to learn than AbanteCart, but less flexible.  Cost-wise, AbanteCart is a one-time fee, so it can be cheaper in the long run if you're serious about building a business.
