I have some issues with Abantecart 1.4.0
« on: December 24, 2024, 04:17:04 PM »
Hi I have just downloaded and installed AbanteCart Cart 1.4.0 on my webserver. I did not edit any files. My webhost is Asura hosting. When I try to add a shared download, i get error message File CornHolio3.mp3 (Some problem happen with file upload. Check error log for more information). I am attaching the error log as txt file since there are very many error messages. Is the issue AbanteCart cart or is it my server?

Best regards,
thoreric71

Hello.
Navigate to Admin > System > Settings > System
1. set the Debug Level to 1
2. Click the PHP info button in the top left corner and check the following:
  - PHP version
  -  upload_max_filesize value
  - post_max_size value
3. Clear the AbanteCart error log

Hi,

Thank you for your reply!

I have done this.

php version: 8.1.31
upload_max_filesize = 400M
post_max_filesize = 800M

I cleared the AbanteCart error log and I am attaching what I get here now in a txt file.

Could you please take a screenshot of the error you're encountering? Also, what is the size of the file you're trying to upload?

Hi,

Thank you very much for your help!

The size of the files I was trying to upload was from 5 - 12 MB. I was trying to upload multiple files.

It looks like this error I was encountering with uploading files was a temporary issue. I tried to upload a file now, and it worked. I don't know why I was encountering this error, but at least i works now. I still get a lot of warning messages in the error.txt but it does not matter as long as the shopping chart works.

Hey,

That sounds frustrating! Since you haven’t modified any files, the issue could be with AbanteCart or your hosting setup. Checking the error log should help—file size limits or permissions might be causing this.

It’s like in Mod Car Parking—if a car won’t park, the issue could be the car’s controls or the parking space. Likewise, your upload issue might be AbanteCart or server settings. Have you tried a different file type or checked permissions?
