Stripe unable to turn off Bank

One of our clients is having some issues with the latest Stripe version 1.3.6 is installed in cart version 1.4.2.1
 

Using the Stripe connect the AbanteCart is managing payment methods for you and can only be managed from the extension settings.

Only the card setting is enable in the extension

However,  the payment shows both card and bank.  We have been unsuccessful in trying to have ONLY cards displayed.

Please refer to the images for clarity

We would prefer to have the link for the ability to save a card if customer desires to do so.

Hello.
Please send the account ID. As payment-connected accounts are not restricted, they should be configurable through the API (configuration from extension).

Hello.
The payment methods are configured by the merchant through the extension settings. On our side, we can see that all bank-related payment options are currently disabled.

Could you please confirm whether your Stripe extension code is unmodified, and that you have cleared the AbanteCart cache manually after making the settings changes?

Yes  we have cleared cache and we have made NO change to the Stripe extension.

However I have a thought and questions:
She had a previous Stripe account prior to Stripe Connect -  is it possible there is something left over?

And when setting up Stripe Connect does your coding establish the endpoint URL and endpoint signing Secret?  Or does account holder need to establish those within their Stripe Account? If they still need to establish

I have not found adequate how to info in the AbanteCart.com website for this.  The instructions https://abantecart.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/AD/pages/17170482/Stripe seem to relate to the non-connect .

As when we arrive at the developers > Webhooks,  there are selections to be made   between Your Account  and Connected and v2 Accounts -  which is correct for your connect extension?

Next do we select ALL events   or only Selected events?   if selected  which ones??

Hello.
Regarding the question about her previous Stripe account before using Stripe Connect, we can't confirm whether anything old remains on that account. That would need to be checked directly with Stripe Support.

For the other points, when the merchant connects their account through the extension, nothing additional is normally required. The only exception is for certain payment methods such as mobile payments, which do require one webhook to be created manually by the merchant.

To complete the webhook setup for mobile payments (to send a success confirmation), here are the steps:
1. Open the Stripe Dashboard and go to Developers.
2. Select Add Endpoint.
3. Enter the HTTPS URL of your webhook endpoint in the Endpoint URL field.
4. Choose Select event to listen to: payment_intent.succeeded.
5. Click Add endpoint.
6. After the endpoint is created, click Reveal Signing Secret, then copy that value and save it in the Stripe Extension Additional Settings section.

On the above existing account turning it off did nothing. 

I repeat I strongly believe that the connect is still not configured correctly .  Here is my supporting argument for that.

Use an account that has NEVER had any Strip account,  I installed the Stipe (this is a 1.4.2.1 cart)  following the prompts within the extension.

I got the Connected to Stripe successfully (see screen shot)

Only Cards are selected within the extension page as the allow payment methods  -

I then went to test a purchase and you can see that the LINK and the BANK ACCOUNT are enabled.

Additionally, the extension did NOT add the business into my existing Stripe account  as I cannot find it within my account,  nor find the endpoint listed so don't ask for the account ID.

Apparently after spending a great deal of more time with Stripe support it is your ABANTECART CONNECT settings that is causing this result.

PS;  I see there is an API version update released Nov 17   Accounts v2 and Connect improvements: We've made several updates to the Accounts v2 API, including support for listing payment methods.   Since it is payment methods and inability to manage from the client side perhaps this would be a fix??

Hello. Thank you for the update. It would be helpful if Stripe support could indicate which setting is involved, as we do not see where it can be controlled.

and if I had that I would have provided it.  Here is what they said yesterday in a chat support:

And this is why I'm suggesting to reach out to AbanteCart. Because the account creation was made from their application. Not directly from Stripe, all tools that was used is also from the side of AbanteCart Which we don't have access to.

as for locating the created account by them which is blank/new, AbanteCart will have the right tools to locate this for you.


although the extension seem to setup,  within the Stripe account side NO new company was setup.  All was a huge fail.

this test was on a clean new install so there were no unknown issues from other extensions etc.

There should NOT be these ongoing issues with a payment process.  We understand why you moved to the Connect as it is beneficial to your business,  but it needs to work correctly for the users of AbanteCart.

Our fix for the moment for our clients it to turn OFF STRIPE and just use PayPal.

PS,  we provided you with Stripe info to fix previous issues on your side.  IMO it should NOT be our responsibility to spend our time and energies interacting with STRIPE to be able to provide you (AbanteCart) how to manager your Connect to work correctly.   Over the 15+ yrs we have interacted with AbanteCart we have provided a great deal of our time in supporting and improving AbanteCart.   And have been happy to contribute,  but you need to step up and work with STRIPE and get this working.
