Receving parsererror while installing 1.4.4

Had been using an  old version of Abantecart, 1.2.16 and began sequential upgrade to 1.4.4.

Experienced a fatal error that corrupted files so have saved old database and deleted old installation.

Now attempting to install 1.4.4 but receive parsererror after entering configuration data.
