can you help me with ome more thing is  that in admin panel design-layouts section on the left hand site there are such pages made of which the blocks can me customize ,request you to please help me or guide me how to make such pages,,,for eg i want to make particular pages for category of jewellery

Hello. If you want to create custom layout only for 'Jewellery' category - Go to Admin-Catalog-Category-edit 'Jewellry' category then click layout tab
