PayPal Instant Payment Notification Warning
« on: December 11, 2013, 10:26:14 AM »
Good Morning (in the US Southwest anyway) - got a notice from PayPal that has the subject line "PayPal Instant Payment Notification Warning" and says:

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:
http://*******.com/modules/gateway/PayPal/ipn.php

Couple weeks ago installed an SSL cert - would using http:// instead of https:// cause this message to be generated?  Still get order notification - what is the best way to address this please if someone has the answer.

All the best
Ron

thanks abolabo - after reading that thread I believe that my fix would be to change the ipn page at PayPal from http://... to https://... as the cart is under ssl from login/create account onward - I'll bet the ping from PayPal's server to mine is not hitting due to this so I'll give it a try and will report back on it.

appreciate  you thinking of me on this one.
