confirming proposed server LAMP versions work on 1.1.8
« on: March 07, 2014, 05:47:20 PM »
There are minimum requirements stated in the docs,  I am looking to confirm maximum versions known to work with version 1.1.8

Can anyone confirm that these work  or give me the highest versions known to work.
Any comment on rather mySQL or mySQLI is recommended would be appreciated too.

Linux - CentOS 6.4 -
Apache 2.4.x - The .x is a minimal release that can and does change frequently. The major build is 2.4
MySQL 5.5.x - OR MySQL 6.x. would be preferred
 PHP - PHP 5.5.x -

Thanks
Lee

This might help
http://af-design.com/blog/2009/01/30/php-mysql-vs-mysqli-database-access-metrics/

Seams to have slight difference.

We did not do full performance test on all platforms and versions yet. At this point PHP 5.4 show prety good result.

Possibly someone can run tests on other OS and php/MySQL versions to post results.
