Search question

Hi:

  I am having a problem with the Search. I have placed the same keywords in a product in the description, meta tag keywords, meta tag description, and product tags sections of the products. However, the Search does not come up with the product when I use a tag keyword - it states "No product that matches the search criteria" - can someone help on this please?

Please go to inkandtonertoday.com - you will see the Q2612A cartridge under HP Toner Cartridges - keywords are for example Laserjet 1012 - searching for this term yields no result. Thoughts?

hm.. probably cache? try to clear it in admin->system->cache

No joy - any other ideas? I gotta believe something is going on but no idea what.

what version of abantecart do you use?

1.8 I attempted to upgrade to 1.9 but it failed.

can you check this issue on our demo?
cannot to remember we already fixed this bug or not... i guess it already fixed in 1.1.9

The demo does search by tag so it looks like that works! My version however is not Can you please tell me the best way to upgrade to 1.9 from 1.8? I tried the auto update but it failed - it could be because I was using PHP 5.2 but now have upgraded that. But if it fails again I would like a way to upgrade if you can help with that.
