Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_ereg_replace()

I tried to edit (main page banner) text, and every time I save I get the error below.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_ereg_replace() in /home/sonikapp/public_html/sonikonline/extensions/banner_manager/admin/controller/pages/extension/banner_manager.php on line 468

Please can anyone assist with this problem.

Hi,can you check in your php setting if mb_string extension was installed?Also perhaps you can ask your hosting too if they have the extension support.I attach the cpanel screenshot here,you can check it by selecting select php version from your cpanel.Hope it helps and works.

Thank you very much, but I using Php version 5.4.30 , can't seem to locate the content as illustrated in your screenshot.

Did you open the select php version from cpanel?

I suggest you to contact your hosting support team and ask to help you to check if mbstring was enabled in your php configuration.
