Sales Tax by county
«
on:

Please forgive me if I have overlooked on where to find this information...
I live in Florida, various counties have a different sales tax surcharge. Is there a way to accurately show the correct sales tax for a specific county?
TIA

This will help you a bit on the overall sales tax collection within Florida.
Now as to the different rates in the different counties, you will need to establish zones for the different areas (locations) and then set the correct rate for the location.
http://docs.abantecart.com/pages/localization/country_and_zone/country_list.html
then this section on tax classes

One note- if you are shipping to customers in your local area - there may also be a city tax that you will need to add a zone for that includes that also.
I know this is a bit of an effort to set it up, but the good thing is you only have to set the zones once, and then just keep the rates up to date as they change.

Thank you so very much but I cannot for the life of me wrap my head around setting up the zones... is there a series of screenshots or videos showing this process?
The user manual is just too vague for me

Do I need to set up a new zone for each zip code within the state of Florida?
