preg_grep(): Compiliation failed error.

I'm starting to get this message in the error log pretty frequently, but diagnosing it is over my head. Anyone care to help?

looks like some web-bot requests your cart without language code..

Is there a way to reduce this error or ignore it if it's not critical?  I get tons of these errors filling up my error logs currently...
