FedEx Not showing up as an option [SOLVED]

I have an identical problem to what is being described here:

I've installed the FexEx extension and before I got it configured it would show up with an authentication error on the front end.  Now that I have it correctly authenticating, it does not appear at all on the front end.  I did originally have the country code set to USA instead of US, but fixing that did not make it appear.  I have also cleared the cache on the server and my browser.  Any help on this would be appreciated.  I'm ready to launch the site but the shipping wont appear!

a bit more detail would help me figure out where you are not showing up

But here's some suggestions on where to check.

1.  On the FedEx extension General Tab  -  check that the AutoSelect and the Accept These payments are configured for your other choices - more than one shipper? more than one payment choice?  etc.

2.  Double check on the Additional Setting Tab that you actually have some service level(s) enabled.  ON is on if the box is BLUE.

3.  I believe the default FedEx requires input in the dimensions

If none of these places fix the issue.  please post back with more info of where it is not showing up for you.  Do you have the Estimate feature turned on?  Etc.

Hi Lee, Thanks for the help.

1. Autoselect is on.  Accept these payments set to default_pp_standart which is the only enabled payment method.  There is only one shipper.  Quote type is set to "Residential".

2. There is no "Additional Settings" tab.  There are no other tabs.  The status of the extension is on.

3. All products in my shop have a dimension and weight.

The estimate feature is turned on, however FedEx does not show up as an option.

Any other ideas?

First I suggest to update FedEx extension to the latest version https://github.com/abantecart/abantecart-src/tree/1.2.4/public_html/extensions/default_fedex
then double check:
your product have weight and weight class, length,width, height and dimensions class
your ship from and ship too address is ok
make sure in Fedex extension settings state and country code is 2 symbols (for ex. US and not USA)!
check your Fedex credentials, note: live and test credentials are not same!

Fixed.  Thanks for the help guys.

I updated the extension to the latest version which added a "Test" button.  When I did the test it notified me that I needed to use a 2-digit code for the state, as well as the country.  I had "Ohio" spelled out.  Once I changed it to OH it worked.

Why not update those fields to only support two characters?  Seems like it would fix this issue for others in the future.
