Authorize.net

(1/1)

helperbee:
I'm new to e-commerce site development, but with AbanteCart, things are going pretty smoothly.

We plan to use Authorize.net as the payment gateway, but what I'm unclear about is if this means no PII is stored in AbanteCart. Who do I ask? Currently, I'm planning to get HTTPS and a signed certificate plus dedicated IP. Is this overkill?

Thanks in advance!

abantecart:
This means that transaction happen on Authorize.net side and no credit card information is stored in AbanteCart.
This is to comply with PCI rules.

If Authorize.net is too difficult for you to handle as a beginner, I suggest to try Strype payment.
It is absolutely easy and no monthly cost.
With Authorize.net you will pay monthly fee, regardless if you sell or not.
